Police looking for owner of dog left dead on Mercer County highway

New Jersey authorities are looking for the owner of an abandoned dog that was found dead on the highway in Hamilton, Mercer County. It was after noon Monday when police say they found the large brown pit bull on the side of the road along Second Avenue, near the Assunpink Creek. The dog did not have a collar or anything to identify it. Officers say they found some evidence at the scene that could be connected to the dog's death.
