SAfm — Police Minister Bheki Cele released the crime statistics for the last financial year (1/04/2019 - 31/03/2020) "virtually" from Pretoria earlier this morning. Cele says cash-in-transit heists, bank and house robberies have decreased, while violent crimes including murder, rape and robbery increased. The murder rate increased by 1.4-percent, while rape increased by 1.7-percent...We spoke to Dr. Johan Burger, Policing expert at the Institute for Security Studies.
