Police oversight bodies under-resourced and overworked, leaders say

In a reports-heavy meeting Tuesday, leaders in independent police oversight told the city council that their work is finally getting off the ground. But they warned that progress comes with tradeoffs, namely – that growing public awareness of their work has only highlighted persistent funding gaps and understaffing.
