Tara talks with Andrew Paterson about his remarkable PhD. Andrew interviewed 50 members of the police to listen to their experiences of stress, trauma, violence and police work. His results are remarkable. Post traumatic stress is not inevitable. Instead, powerful - and cheap - institutional strategies can transform police and policing and first responder cultures more generally.
