POLITICAL
from Steve Low Hosted by Steve Low
Political - Song writing submission to Broadjam A sultry night and a sulky me I’m layin ’here all over you Waitin’ for that moment of serenity But the TV’s on and it’s grabbed your ears You’re up on elbow a teacher’s glare Angered by gratuitous policy So I say I say I say hey best you don’t get political I say I say I say hey you make yourself too miserable I say I say I say hey my want for you is critical So I say hey for us tonight best you don’t get political Your skin it’s warm and softly lit Your lips are dark and ripe to kiss I’m holding in this tiger in my boney cage But no oh no you’re standing up Your fist is in the TV’s face Hey honey tart I’ve lost out to your rage Your face is pregnant like you’re right And all those mothers they all wrong And why ain’t I up kickin in the TV screen Your pullin me up by my arm I say come on gal you gotta be calm I’m bustin’ just to love you hey that’s my dream You’re carin’ ‘bout this country here so much But I’m here hey I’m pleadin’ for your touch
