Political change, The Ditch and legendary photographer Michael Scully

On this week's LoveLaois Podcast, we chat about one of the big recent local stories - the decision of Cllr Aisling Moran to leave the Fine Gael party and what it might mean at next year's Local Elections.  We also discuss Sinn Fein's announcement of their new candidate Maria McCormack, who will run alongside Caroline Dwane-Stanley, in Portlaoise.  Plus we ponder the big saga at national level last week - that of Fianna Fáil TD Niall Collins following the coverage by The Ditch website.  And our interview this week is with legendary local photographer Michael Scully.  A native of Stradbally, he has been photographing events in the area for more than 50 years.  He tells us of his early interest in photography, how his first job was in Leitrim and how he made the decision to come back home and start his own business.  He describes how enjoyable a career it has been and how he's still as enthusiastic as ever after all these years.
