How much did Prince influence me as a young musician? Well, just for fun, listen to this track I did way back in 1987 on a 4-track cassette in my dorm room at MSU. Yes, I played everything. I was 19 years old and Prince was my musical idol. #RIPPrince #PurplePain For those who care… Drum Machine: Sequential Circuits Drumtracks (yes, I still have it – not sure if it works) Bass Guitar: “Maggie” Bought at a pawn shop not long before I composed this and recorded through an amp I borrowed from a dude in the dorm. I always loved the sound of that amp. Keyboard: Korg Poly 61 (I think) borrowed from a friend.
