Ponder by Kai-Anne Clews

from Original Christian Poetry · host Kai-Anne Clews

My mind’s eye floating upon the infinite sea, In a sturdy little boat by the name of ME. I cast out my nets to catch from the depths, Around shores and flotillas sailing East unto West. My days here are numbered but the fishing is good. Remembering again what I once understood. Time travelers wander from dawn until dusk. Clay men arise then turn back into dust. Spirits of gold swoop in and out of sight Like dolphin speed breaking the foam, Lighter than dandelion dancers, swift as living Light – An eternal coming home. Phosphorescent pathways stretch deep into the depths, Well beyond the reaches of my well-made little nets Above the twinkling abandon, the abysses cry Reflection! The point to reason why, provoking introspection.
