Blessed are the poor in Spirit for theirs is the Kingdom of Heaven 🕊 (Matthew 5:3) This past Sunday, Pastor Colt shared from the Sermon on the Mount on what it means to be poor in Spirit. This an essential concept in order to access the blessed life which Jesus invites us into as a part of His Kingdom which is now at hand! He shared that poverty of spirit is not about self condemnation or financial lack but is about acknowledging our desperate need for God and for His redemptive plans on the earth. Colt encouraged us that as sons and daughters of God, we can boldly go to our Father and to both ask and expect to receive. To pray that His will would be done on earth as it is in Heaven.
