Poor Self Talk Will Always Stop You

from Golf Talk With Tiff · host Golf Talk With Tiff

Did you know that poor self talk will always stop you? In a nutshell, when you don't reach your expectations of yourself, you will make a number of negative comments to you.  This is most likely what you tend to do. Put yourself down Tell yourself how bad you are Tell yourself you are not good enough Tell yourself that you are a joke and you shouldn't bother Tell yourself "see I told you, you can't do it." And so on. If this type of self talk continues it will be detrimental. You will need to change that. But how? Here are 4 Simple Steps to Get You Started. 1. Awareness - be aware that you are talking to yourself poorly. 2. Stop - by being aware tell yourself immediately to stop speaking that way. 3. Develop a new phrase - "I am working on improving everything I do!" 4. Repetition - every time you notice that you are speaking negatively to yourself - repeat the process. You wouldn't let someone else speak to you in that way, so why speak to yourself so poorly?   Have an absolutely awesome day and remember, Dream Big, Believe In You & Go After Your Dreams.
