Poor Things (2023) Film Review

Poor Things is a Sci-Fi Black Comedy Odyssey about Bella Baxter (portrayed by Emma Stone), a woman who has had her baby brain inserted into her mother's dead corpse after her mother died. Bella's creator is Godwin (portrayed by Willem Dafoe), and she is looked after by his lab assistant Max McCandles (portrayed by Ramy Youssef). She soon finds herself enamored by Duncan (portrayed by Mark Ruffalo), and runs away with him to Lisbon, entering into a fantastical steampunk world of sexual liberation.
