The Golden Globe winning feature film, Poor Things, was finally released in the UK last Friday. The feminist Frankenstein flick, based off of the synonymous book by Alasdair Grey, follows Bella Baxter (Emma Stone) as she navigates life as a young woman brought back to life by an unconventional scientist. Here at Shift, we spoke to art and graphic design student Ruby Overall about whether we loved or loathed the beautiful strangeness of ‘Poor Things’. Beware, spoilers ahead.
