from Poorman's 15 Minutes of Fame · host Chelsea Shells
“[You guys have actually gotten naked on the stage when you played, is that right?] Well, see, it’s our feeling that nakedness is an expression of freedom. And we like to promote freedom in the world. And so we feel that by taking off our clothes that we show a representation of naked freedom.”— Anthony and Flea, Red Hot Chili Peppers Interview, 1988

What this episode covers
It's of me interviewing Flea and Anthony 37 years ago, and it was for my TV show called Adventures with the Poorman, the first TV show I ever did, television at its poorest. We had a feature called Backstage with the Poorman. We would interview, you know, bands. This is when I was working at KROQ. So this interview, it's a two-part interview. Yes, it's Flea and Anthony of the Chili Peppers, but Flea and Anthony 37 years ago when they were young guys and I guess so was I. And here is part one of this interview and I'll give you part two right after part one. —Poorman
