POP! The Culture is a special dedicated to looking at the differences between the last two decades and today in pop culture and their respective impacts on the people during those time frames. From low-rise jeans and the “it-girls” of the 2000s to the pastels and the “mystery girls” of 2010s, and how that transferred over to the reinvention of those styles and aesthetics of today. Looking back, we see past the flashing lights of the early 2000s and what played into the creation of its authenticity, and we then dive into the complete renaissance of media and fashion in 2010s and how that struck across an entire generation.
