Popham: The Failed Jamestown Twin Colony

13 years before the Plymouth Pilgrims set foot in Massachusetts, a colony was formed in modern day Maine.  This colony was no blip on the radar, as it had a fort and lasted over a year.  It also was the site of a colonial first for the English.
