El se mudó para Estados Unidos en la ciudad de South Chicago. En ese tiempo se hizo amigo de roman Villarreal. En su tiempo en Estados Unidos el le dio interés un libro de correr un maratón. A los 40 el dijo “llo puedo ser esto”. Se dedicó con mucha disciplina a entrenar para el maratón y el corrió muchos maratón por todo el mundo a los 40s.
