Cuando Apple recuperó a Steve Jobs se produjo el gran crecimiento de la marca. El primer producto de aquella nueva etapa fue el iMac, que –aparte de incorporar los avances de adaptación a Interent (de aquí, la ‘i’ inicial) – tuvo la grandísima singularidad de ser de plástico transparente y colores variados. ¿No es sorprendente que el éxito estrepitoso de la compañía tecnológica venga por una carcasa de plástico? Alguien dirá, con razón, que lo que había detrás de la carcasa es una estrategia. ¡Claro que sí! Lo que Steve Jobs buscaba es que se convierte en un objeto amado, que pudiera entrar en la sala de estar y en la habitación de los niños.Hablemos ahora de las escuelas. ¿No podríamos tener también una estrategia simple que nos diferenciase de los otros centros y nos hicese tener el éxito de los iMacs? La experiencia nos dice que no es fácil. Las respuestas de muchas escuelas a las preguntas “¿Qué os hace diferentes? ¿Qué tenéis que los demás no tienen?” o son titubeantes o bien muy convencidas de una característica que realmente no les diferencia.
