Portland-based photographer explores what it means to be butch

Photographer Esther Godoy identifies as butch or masculine-of-center. She grew up in Australia and came to Portland more than a decade ago. She says she saw a distinct difference in how her masculine way of presenting herself was received in Portland compared to her hometown in a suburb of Melbourne.
