Portland Men's Basketball Stuns Seattle

Portland Mens Basketball Secures Thrilling Victory: A Tale of Frontline Dominance and Clutch Play In a heart-stopping game, Portlands mens basketball team emerged victorious against Seattle University, winning fifty-four to fifty-three on a last-second putback by freshman Dante Censori-Hercules. This triumph follows their stunning upset of number six Gonzaga on Wednesday. The Pilots, who trailed early, showcased their dominance inside the paint, scoring thirty-four points compared to Seattles eighteen. Their frontline of James ODonnell, Jermaine Ballisager Webb, and Cameron Williams contributed significantly, with a combined thirty-five points mostly in the second half. The crowd at Chiles Center was electrified, especially after the womens teams late rally for a fifty-three to fifty win over Oregon State in the doubleheader. The mens game was a rollercoaster, with ties and lead changes until the final buzzer. Standout Joel Foxwell, despite scoring just five points, made a significant impact with eight rebounds and nine assists, including a crucial three-pointer late in the game. Portland outrebounded Seattle thirty-four to thirty-three and converted turnovers into seventeen points. Both teams now prepare for their next challenges, with Portland traveling to face San Diego on February eleventh at six thirty p.m., carrying the momentum into West Coast Conference play.
