Portraits of the Messiah #4 - The Better Priest

Rebellion against Aaron was more than a leadership dispute. Israel rejected the priest God had chosen, yet Aaron pleaded for mercy and stood between the dead and the living as the plague stopped. Aaron’s weakness and mortality also showed the need for a better priest. Jesus became truly human, obeyed through suffering, and offered His own life for sin.
