oin Wayne Giles as he reads and expands on the Big Book of Alcoholics Anonymous, offering deeper understanding and practical advice for those on their recovery journey. In this Step 1 AA session, Wayne reflects on the profound transformation that occurs in recovery—where individuals who were once unreliable now stand as trustworthy sources of truth. He marvels at the fact that a group of alcoholics, alongside a doctor, can now be relied upon absolutely, despite their pasts.“How many of you, by the time you got through your addiction, couldn’t rely on anything that you said? And here is a bunch of alcoholics and a doctor you can trust with anything they say about themselves. Imagine your PO’s trusting you—when, for many of us, they wouldn’t trust us to take out the garbage, let alone believe anything that came out of our mouths.”Wayne emphasizes the incredible turnaround that recovery can bring, marking a new era in the understanding and treatment of alcoholism. This transformation is not just about personal healing, but about becoming someone who can be trusted and relied upon—something unimaginable in active addiction. For more content, please like, comment, and share.
