The best meditation position for beginners is sitting on floor with legs crisscross or kneeling on your knees, sitting upright (chair or sofa) or standing (slightly bent knees with feet apart) and exercising with eyes wide open (walking or jogging) will help keep you awake and focus. However, if you are unable to do any of those meditative positions, then try lying down flat on your back (floor or bed) with a thin pillow under your head, knees are bent, and feet are flat on floor. The best hand, arm & finger positions: hands are relaxed on leg or lap faced upward with fingers slightly extended or arms mid chest height pretending you are holding a round big balloon in front of you with hands relaxed & fingers slightly extended.
