Positives of Post-Pandemic Conflicts in the Workplace With Dr. LaVena Wilkin

from Lawyers & Mediators International Podcast · host LMIPodcast.com

Dr. Barbara Manousso's (http://manousso.us ) guest Dr. LaVena Wilkins (https://peacefromconflict.com/)  presents a fresh and insightful view on solving conflicts in the workplace in the post pandemic world, joining the discussion with Mac Pierre-Louis & Natalia Olowska-Czajka of https://olowskapierre.com. Dr. LaVena Wilkin shows how conflicts in general give an opportunity to change through open, honest and courageous communication. First condition though - you must engage in the conflict and not avoid it. There are some rules to solving the conflicts via this sort of communication: 1. being respectful 2. listening to other people's perspectives and thus build trust and a safe workplace. In the post pandemic world what helps a lot is mindfulness - being hyperaware of our emotional reactions and understanding that we would not have a conflict if we were not emotionally engaged in this particular issue ourselves.
