In the dead of night, as people sleep, that is when the spirits creep. As the bell tolls three, dark things take power. We like to call it the Supernatural Hour. Our hosts.
Hey, welcome to the Supernatural Hour. I am your host, Raven. I'm Chad. This is my mom.
I'm Whiskey. Though, we have cool investigation to tell you about later. It was time. A couple weird things happened, but you'll have to wait to hear about it.
We're rolling through... Pops, gravestones, dead people. So, we'll just have to wait. We'll talk about it.
Gunshots? In a minute. Find out. It was a very interesting night.
Across the board. Anyway, we'll get into more of that later, but it was the only door to us. So, we are winding down spooky season. Yeah, spooky season's brought to you by Castle Photo Art.
So go to Castle for your photo art stuff. No, it makes me sad that spooky season's winding down. It's busy, it's hectic. You put a full-time student on top of that, and I feel overwhelmed.
But last year, I have to have school during spooky season, so I'm super excited. Next spooky season, we actually have a new location that we're going to be doing one of our library presentations, so I'm really excited about that. That'll be cool. But for this year, by the time you hear this, it'll be over.
No. But we'll have... The Indian Hills Court will still be available. I know, but I'm talking about the American Fork Library presentation, which, if you've never been to one of these library presentations, by the time you hear this, it'll be over.
That being said, we'll do something similar to the Hue-ish coming up early next year. If you've missed out on those, we will do a few periodically throughout the year before spooky season. But they really are fun, and it's a wonderful opportunity. If you're listening to this and you've never done anything paranormal and you're little afraid to, or you've got Fran's neighbor's family that have expressed an interest, but they're too afraid these are perfect things, because we just explain everything in a very safe, non-spooky environment answer questions.
And then if you're feeling up to it, you can do it in an investigation afterwards. If you've had your fill, you can go home and absorb it, and then come to an investigation later after you've decided that it's really awesome, because it really is. And we're never going to. You went into a seriously dangerous situation, ever.
So... So, Raven, what do you call these presentations? You do. What?
It's like Pirates of the Caribbean. You can say Pirates of the Caribbean, you can say Pirates of the Caribbean, I say Pirates of the Caribbean. It kind of depends on my mood. Sometimes it's a dead talk, sometimes I call it a library presentation.
Kind of depends on whether you're doing it in a library or not, too. Exactly. So when we do it at the Jewish... ...sometimes we're tour guides.
Exactly. See? Whiskey. Whiskey gets it.
If you miss the tour guide thing, we were at what used to be called the Leslie's Family Tree, and I was really, really tired. I think it was jet-lagged, and I may have referred to the team leads as tour guides, but I'd just get on vacation, so tour guides was in my mind. You'd get a tour of all the ghosts. Basically?
It kind of works. It kind of works. And so... So...
So... So if you hear a state-of-talk, if you hear a state-of-the-library presentation, it's the same thing. It's just either in a library or not. So...
But they're very fun. And we do have Indian Hills Horror. Chad, do you want to describe that a little bit? Yeah, it's like they're 17th or 18th year that they've been doing a free haunted house.
It's a walkthrough haunted house. Last few years they've had 2,000 plus people come through on the Wednesday before Halloween. There will be a non-scare walkthrough, and I think that goes from 8 to 10. And then on Halloween, I think they go from 8 to 10 also, and it's another scare night where they have actors and people popping out and doing that.
And it's really a fun time. But they get a lot of people out there, go out to advancedparanormal.com, and off the main page there's the information on how to get there what the address is. And there's also a link to the YouTube videos of the last years, or just go out to YouTube and search Indian Hills Horror and look at some of the things they do there. It's really a very good haunted house, and they've done a very nice job editing those YouTube videos to show you what they're all about.
And they change it up every year. No, not really fun. And I sound like a broken record, but I've been to paid haunted houses that aren't as good as this one. So come on.
And then afterwards, after you go to the haunted house, you can go eat dinner at Oteos, which is amazing. And I think that as a team, we need to go eat there as a team. I think that would be fun. I need to be down to investigate the menu.
I concur. All right. We'll make it so. All right.
So if you've been listening to our podcasts that this time around, we're going to be talking about possessions stage three. If you have missed the last couple of podcasts, go get up those first two. You don't have to listen to those to necessarily understand this one, but they all go together. So it's interesting.
Because they're like stage one and stage two, right? And this is stage three. This is stage three. Yes.
So we've been talking about possessions. And if you Google stages of possession, you're going to find all sorts of their five, their seven. It can be subdivided in so many different ways, but we keep it pretty simple. So our first one was infestation, which is basically the invitation.
Then there's a pressure where the entity turns from friend. It really starts to show its true colors and starts to wear you down. And possessions stage three is called possession. That's when they've broken you down.
You've given up your free will and they take over. And these are the stages of possession that Ed and Lorraine Warren used, right? Yes. Okay.
And so we go with their nomenclature on that. Right. And I think when it comes to stage three, this is the part that I feel most people have kind of a morbid fascination with. Because when you think possessions, in my opinion, stage three is what people's brains go to.
So what are your guys' thoughts on this stage? It seemed like it was like what you stereotypically think when you think of, oh, they're possessed. Except for some of the reading that I saw was technically you still have some free will, but you're so broken down that you don't really take over yourself as free will. You've kind of given it up because obviously from the other stages, you can't just take it over, but you're so broken down.
And you can know what's going on inside your head, not only your thoughts, but you can also hear the entity slots. Now before we go too off into some of this stuff, and there's actually two forms of possession. One is called a transient. And this is where the demonic entity can go in and out.
Sometimes it'll be there. Sometimes it won't. It's a full possession where it's constantly with you. And to my knowledge, because we have mentioned before that our team has worked with a handful of possessions, and to my knowledge, I believe they have all been transient.
I don't think any of the ones that we dealt with were the full constantly possessed individual. Yeah, because you mentioned before that they seem like they're one way, one minute, like, oh, they're just every day average and the next minute they're doing like some extreme thing. I'm sure if it was a full long thing, you would have like a really big issue you'd deal with. Oh, yeah.
Oh, yeah, absolutely. So, yeah. So, yeah, I think that this stage is also, I know it's the last stage, but it is the hardest in some ways to identify. It's the most popular in pop culture, but somebody that is potentially being possessed, especially transient possession exhibits a lot of the same symptoms as somebody who's going through a mental health crisis.
Absolutely. Which makes it really hard, especially coming into it when they're already at that stage with no history. There's a lot of identification, unless they're going to be crawling up the walls backwards and spouting off things that they could not have known. It's really hard.
It's really hard to tell. And that, honestly, when somebody is still able to fight back, they are probably going to mask and hide it under fear, when they're in the presence of somebody who might be able to help them. Like a priest might show up and the person might just be normal. And they're like, I don't, I'm not going to try to perform an exorcism on a normal kid.
Right. And I know that as part of the process when we go and investigate is we have to be very careful because we don't want to just, oh, yeah, we think you're possessed and misdiagnose. We don't diagnose, but miss an opportunity to say, hey, have you thought about seeing a therapist? Have you thought about seeing a counselor?
Are there any medications you're taking that could exhibit these things as side effects? And so as an investigator, you have to be very careful because you don't want something to go misdiagnosed. It could be misdiagnosed just because you're so excited to be able to tell people, oh, I can be investigated with this person. But when an actuality they have a mental health issue that just needs to be taken care of.
The interesting thing is one of our cases when we were called by the client, and this was very unusual. It was kind of backwards from usual, but they called and said, hey, this family member of ours, we thought there was some mental health issues. And there are a couple, but they're not the kind of things that would exhibit as a possession. But the client said this family member has been to a mental health professional.
And the mental health professional actually said there's nothing wrong other than this thing that we have already identified. So maybe you should hook up with some paranormal investigators, which I thought was interesting because when we've been in, it's like we don't have to ask those questions because we already know that they've been dealt with. Wow, that's so interesting to hear that a mental health professional was like, hey, consider this. I wonder how often that really happened.
Yeah, but that's usually us saying before we get too into this, maybe you should check out this and that and whatever or take a look at maybe some lifestyle choices, not lifestyle choices, but things that you have in your life that could draw the audience. It's usually us kind of being the pre-counselor saying, hey, think of it at this to a certain point. Hey, maybe go see a mental health therapist. To my knowledge, this is the only time that our group has had this happen or the mental health professional said, hey, you may be.
You said it's mental health technically. Yeah. Apparently, I need some speech therapy going on right now. I think one thing that comes to that is like a recommendation like that doesn't necessarily mean that the person believes they are possessed or anything in that way.
A group of legitimate paranormal investigators will come in there and try to give you reasons in your environment for why things are happening around you, right? A mental health professional isn't skilled in a lot of the things that we do. They're not coming to your house with thermal equipment and explaining why drafts are happening, right? They're talking to you in their office and saying like, I don't know what all those studs are.
I don't. The voices you hear, I you don't seem to have any symptoms of paranoia. I don't know what you're hearing. Well, we come in there.
You tell us your voices. We're going to see like, okay, are all these events connected? Is that where your dad watches a TV in the living room and the other vent? Your living room is the next one in the line.
So you hear everything that goes down there. You know, you got pipes rattling in the walls bad ventilation rats. Whatever it might be, right? We're going to come in and give a ghost of realism.
Obviously that can backfire. You can call the wrong side of paranormal investigators and you're going to get somebody in your basement yelling, fight me and either 74 demons down there with you. But there is that side of it. Right.
So let's talk about some of the principal changes that you could see and like anything like we've talked about in the other stages, you can see all of these. You could see some of these. But these are some of the changes that are very possible in either a transient or a full possession. And these as we start naming them, you'll realize why this is where the morbid fascination comes in because this is where the victims, I'm not calling victims of possession, exhibit things that humans really just don't do.
So they may or may not levitate, which I have a personal story about this. When we talk about in our dead talks, how personal stories are evidence if you trust the person telling you, I heard the story from my dad. So I trust him and he. And you're probably going to say it.
He was a policeman. He's a trained observer, very credible person. Yes. So he's a policeman.
And when he was on a call, and I don't know what the call was, but they went to this house, they knocked on the door and people opened the door and my dad said that the two people that was standing there at the door were levitating off around about six inches so that they knew I don't know what the call was, but my dad just knew that they weren't dealing with just going to run at the mill issue. They knew that there was probably something demonic going on on top of whatever else the call was for. There may be multiple voices coming from the person at the same time, which at the same time would be a little hard to explain for me medically. But if you're hearing a different voice, you could say, all right, is that a demonic entity talking through our loved one?
Or are they just having some problems? And I don't know what the exact psychological terms are because I am not a trained therapist to visit some sort of schizophrenia, some sort of a multiple personality disorder going on. So that's something, if you have someone that's speaking in a different voice that doesn't necessarily mean they're possessed, there could be another issue there as well. Yeah, they could definitely have some kind of neurological disorder that's affecting their nerves and their ability to speak just in general, right?
People can also speak in multiple tones at the same time. It's a kind of strange technique, but it is possible to have multiple frequencies coming out of your mouth at the same time. Very skilled to do that. And one thing just as far as the voice is going to possess the person that I've encountered when they spoke, it almost felt like the voice wasn't coming from their mouth.
Like, to me, the voice was almost like, I could see their mouth moving, but it felt like the voice was in my head in the room with me and not coming from that direction. It sounds weird, sounds wacky, but that's my experience. No, I get it. Yeah.
So again, it can't reiterate and I'll probably say it a dozen times just because you're exhibiting one of these symptoms that's not necessarily mean you're possessed, checks things out with your medical health professional. Levitating, I can't really explain that one, but pardon? I said you're saying no to me. I said you're saying no to me.
I said you're saying no to me. I said you're saying no to me. So one of the things too is just to take note of animals being scared of a person. This one was interesting.
I remember this was a long time ago, probably 30 years ago, easily. I was first married and I had someone, actually the local furniture store, bringing some furniture over and I was home alone and two more people guys come in and I the dog and the dog, typical dog, the market people, but the dog just did not like this one guy and just bark and bark and bark and not just like regular barking. It was like really high alert barking. Does that mean he was possessed?
No. Maybe my dog just really didn't like him. Maybe he smelled like a dog that I became a dog at home that just really ruffled my dog's feathers. But to do take note of your animals because they can be very insightful.
Like Whiskey mentioned on our last podcast, we were at that residential and the cats were basically saying, hey, over here and come over here. They can be very in tune with those spirits. So that's something to take note of as you're, if you have any questions, just jot that down in the journal of our dog really hate it when this person comes in or blah blah blah. Yeah, I can't really like that person that refused to leave my house, which was kind of like a possession.
But they were just being out. Yeah, they were just possessing my home in my office until they finally left. I trust my animals, the judge, somebody's character, more than I trust myself, even though I have pretty good judgment. Yeah, and it's going to be not just barking, but almost like you said, you're on high alert, almost with a little bit of fear in there as well.
And also notice if it's someone that the dog knows, do they, does the person's personality change when the dog is on that high alert, high protective slash almost fearful kind of mode? It's just something to take note of. Watch for some physical manifestation, like in a transient possession, when the demonic entity leaves the person's body, they cough, they vomit, is there some sort of physical manifestation when their personality changes? Is it like, oh, they're really nice and then they throw up and then, or they really mean and then they throw up and then they're really nice?
Or they're this way, they seem clueless and then they have a coughing fit and then they seem back to normal. That's one of the things too that you're going to want to watch for. And it's not all about you. If I have a tummy ache and I throw up, I feel better.
So I'm pretty grumpy with a tummy. Are you sure you're not possessed? Possessed with some bad food, I don't know. Transient possession of bad food question mark?
Yep, yep. And again, yes. If you're not feeling very good, you're going to be grumpy. You're going to be grumpy.
You're going to be happy again. So yeah, of course you're going to walk with that. But when it happens a lot, several times a week or several times a day, I want to go, huh? Interesting.
I have been possessed by the demon Sal Manila before. I was going to say, I don't know what they call it, but whatever it is, when you're allergic to carbs, that kind of kicks me in on that. I can never eat. Okay, you remember how we went to the UH and we were doing our dead talk and I ate like a boatload of candy corn?
Oh, y'all can't let me do that again. It was delicious, but I paid for it for like a week and a half. It was candy corn. Stop eating it.
It's like a crayon. Delicious. If you're not eating the right brand, then rocks, people. Okay.
So this is the things we just talked about were more physical manifestations. So there's also a lot of mental changes in those that are possessed, changes in personality. And if you get an adolescent, of course their personality is going to change a little bit. I still have teens and sometimes you never know what you're going to get when you go knock on that door and walk in the room.
Sometimes they're happy. Sometimes they're saying themselves. So just because someone changes their personality doesn't necessarily mean they're possessed. If that's so, I've had seven possessed people in my house over the course of 31 years, but you'll know.
It's one of those things you'll know. If someone that you've known for a while and they're this way and suddenly they're that way, then you want to be careful because that's also an indication of drug use or alcohol abuse would be changes in personality. So again, you want to be careful. Don't just jump to possession.
Check it out. Make notes. And I think the key is you have to start there, even if you're pretty sure because you don't just get possessed. It doesn't just happen.
There's a door somewhere. That door can be drug use. That door can be mental illness, depression, loneliness, right? It can be PTSD.
Anything that it sees that it can give you an answer for that you're struggling to find an answer for yourself that you feel hopeless with, it will sell you hope and that's how it gets in. So we have to make sure just like cleansing a house in a house call, we have to make sure that we find out how it got there. How's calls are a little different. You might have just picked up something silly on your way past the garage sale, but find somebody garage sale is not going to possess you.
Yeah. And that's the hard thing about house calls is sometimes you have to have the hard talk. We went to a house call that's been a few years ago and we had, I don't want to go too much into it because we do like to keep people's privacy and information confidential. But basically there was a family member living with another family member and we, after going there a couple times, we just really suspected that there was maybe some Ouija board use.
And as we were looking around the home, I think it was on the second visit, there was a great big five foot by eight foot blanket of a Ouija board on the couch and the family members in question were home. And we asked the mother, did they play with a Ouija board and she was like, oh, it'll never have anything like that in the house. And we had to very gently tell her, well, this question was brought up because of this I didn't say this way, but this enormous three foot or five foot by eight foot Ouija board that's literally like four feet away from you. So sometimes we have to have those hard talks and that's not fun.
But if you want help, sometimes you've got to hear that hard talk. I'm not going to set for that Ouija board. Right. Is it like the- You got a little body.
Thank you. A pillow Ouija or a flange yet, right? Yeah, a body pillow flange. The actual Ouija board is the plan set for the giant Ouija boards.
Mm hmm. So the next term. So the next two kind of play along in with personality, but we're going to break it down even a little bit more. You get someone who's normally very active and they become isolated because that entity doesn't want them to get help.
That entity doesn't want them to have someone say, well, you think that little Jimmy has got just a little different today. So they're going to keep them isolated. And as they're isolated, they're able to feed you whatever it is that you want to hear to wear you down, break you down even more when they turn and start quarantining you. And then there is changes in attitude and behavior.
Usually they're going to become hostile. People that are possessed typically do not become nicer. They're going to become meaner or isolated and just in general a lot different than how you knew them. And if it's already a hostile person, who it could probably get really, really nasty.
Another thing is someone that curses a lot when it's not in their nature. In our house, if cursing a lot was a sign of possession, we're all possessed over here. Yeah, I have a problem. But if there's someone who doesn't and suddenly they do start cursing and the cursing isn't going to be a little swears, it's going to be kind of the big vulgar, very disrespectful.
There's a word on it. Listen, go ahead and let's just listen. It's easier if you just say all of them. Kind of the blasphemous curses.
They're not going to be. I'll say a couple. It's like, or if you're like, sometimes I'll say like you, things like that. Exactly.
Oh, yeah. You're me and then. Yeah. So just watch that.
A sudden aversion to religious objects, we dealt with a gal a long, long time ago, probably one of our first people that we dealt with that wasn't our friend or family that we arm wrestled into having us come over. It was a dealing with a possession. And we were able to get access to a church to take her in to give her a blessing because that's what she asked for. And the closer we got to the church, the more and more.
She got physically sick, vomiting, curling up into a ball. Yeah, it was something to see for sure. Evidence of self-mutilation. Because ultimately what these entities want, and this is going to get a little bit into religious philosophy, so everyone might have a little different take on this.
But these entities never had a body. They wish they had a body. They know that they're never going to be able to get a body. And they want to take yours away from you.
They want to take our bodies away from us. And so they feel like if they can get the ultimate thing of unaligning yourself, they feel like they have one, that little battle, and then they go into the next person. So evidence of self-mutilation is going to lead up to that. And that doesn't necessarily mean that if there's self-mutilation, that's how it ends, trying to be very tactful here.
And it doesn't mean that all self-mutil is, mutil it, I can't even say the word, that is a possession. There are other mental health issues around that. That's just where I was going to go. So you notice that someone is cutting themselves or whatever it may be.
Regardless, they're going to need some mental health professionals to deal with that. Changes in how they dress is going to go with their behavior. And I remember being a teenager and trying to find out what my style was. Sometimes I feel like I'm still trying to figure that out.
But I remember doing this style and then trying that style. And it's not that. It's, you will know, it's going to be very dramatic. It's going to be very 180 from what they're normally doing.
If they suddenly start just wearing black all the time, they might have just become a paranormal investigator. So there's, there's a lot of people. Or a hair judge. Right.
Yeah. So in all of these, we give almost every one of these a caveat of just because someone in your family's decided they want to try a different style does not mean that they're possessed. But it is something to take note of, especially if they have maybe more than one of the things on the list. If they seem fine and they've just decided to watch the movie and they think that's a cool new look, let them try the cool new look.
Some people, like another one that commonly triggers it is people who change their lifestyle. They might have been hiding their true self, their true feelings from their family. Maybe they finally feel in a place where they're comfortable to be who they are. And some people are like, they're possessed.
They're so different. And like they just, they seem fine to me. Some people just change. Right.
And I'm like, well, little spark of freedom, high school or college. Like, we, I'm going to try all this stuff. I had a friend growing up who went off to college. They were very much like, oh, wow, I can now do whatever I want.
Let me actually try all of the things. Right. So I have a daughter. She turned 18.
She got attacked. That does not mean she's possessed. It means she's 18. And she said, I think I want to get attacked.
It's really cute. So another one is destructiveness on the part of the person, especially towards religious objects. So if you have someone that was just kind of living their normal life and doing their thing and they're starting to be very destructive. Breaking things, destroying things, throwing things, especially if it's religious objects, pictures, scriptures, crucifixes, ruse rebuts, whatever it is that you may have, that is something to make you raise an eyebrow.
And again, on the flip side, they might just be having a really bad day and they might just be needing to vent and let out some anger. But you will know a difference between someone having a bad day and if it starts repeatedly happening, especially if that's the only thing you might want to sit down and say, okay, it worked out okay today. But if you start noticing that it's happening a lot, especially with religious objects or in conjunction with one or two, three of these other things on the list, shut it down, take a note. It reminds me of when I teach the kids about chemical changes and it knows the chemical reaction and it's like, because for example, colouring with a marker versus like, I don't know, burning something, you see a colour change.
They're like, oh, when you colour a marker, there is a colour change on the paper. Well, you have to have multiple forms of evidence to see, is there a new gas created? Is there a change in temperature? Like you have to have multiple points.
So for this, you need to have like multiple things to strongly point to that, not to be like, oh, they changed the way they look and now they have a bad attitude. Okay, well, maybe there's a teenager, so, or maybe they're really, really stressed or something. So it's like having a lot of like, maybe they're sort of levitating, maybe I would take that one though. Yeah, I think levitating with any of these would be like, ah.
I would instantly have a problem. They would instantly have a Netflix deal. I don't think they'd have a problem. All right, if you're levitating, I'm getting the camera out.
That's all I can tell. We're gonna, we're gonna partner up. Keep going, demon. Do the, do the levitating again.
Please. And they're probably like, man, now we have TikTok and people are making it fake so much. My little thing isn't that important. What am I gonna do now?
Yeah, yeah. Right. Yeah, we still have quite a few, oh, not quite a few, but there's still several things on this list. So one is, another one is to become abusive and threatening for no reason.
There are people out there that are abusive and threatening. And there are days when you're just really angry and you might throw out of something. But if you notice that it's, it's a typical for that person or just comes out of the blue or it's excessive, maybe they're always that way, but if it gets more so way over their baseline, yeah, then take out of that. And if you aren't dealing with someone that's abusive or threatening, maybe you should call the authorities because you shouldn't have to be dealing with that.
So you're saying my ex wife was possessed? Yes. Did she let me take? I don't know.
I closed my eyes most of the time. It's too scary for me. And this one, I actually got this list off of the class that I took. So I would have probably put number nine and 10 together.
But one is they may become violent. They're normally not violent and they become violent. That's out of the blue. Also, I typical that something to know if we want to go more into that because it's also they're normally violent, probably just avoid them anyways.
They shouldn't be normally violent. Again, so they're only like they become not violent. That's a concern. There you go.
Yeah, but if it's a demonic possession, they're not going to become nicer. Maybe there's no how much that hurts somebody who's got a problem. So what does that do? So the caveat, if you're dealing with someone who suddenly turned abusive, violent or threatening police call these orgies because that's not good.
Person may experience severe nightmares or night terrors. When one of my older boys was younger, he had night terrors. I mean, he was possessed, but it is a sign of possession if in conjunction with all these other things like we said. I apparently had night terrors growing up.
I never was a big crier or whatever, but my mom said that like the hardest part for me when I was a baby was my night terrors. Apparently they were that bad. I'm like, oh, that's concerning. Along the dream line, I haven't had it in maybe like three years now, maybe a little less, but a recurring nightmare.
It's not like super graphic or anything. Like I'd just be doing anything. I'd see a shadow and it would just like my vision would zoom in. I'd wake up in a sweat like I was just about to have to fight for my life.
And that only started happening after I encountered a possessed person. It was kind of. Oh, it's working for you. It's working for you.
It's working for you. It's probably within the backyard scratching. You know, it's a lot of a. I've actually had recurring dreams that if I told you the dream, you'd be like, yeah, that's not scary.
But in the dream, it's terrifying. Well, just like, okay, my mental health story is interesting. I'm not possessed, by the way, but. We'll be the judge of that.
She's a little bit so greedy with the face again. I think I've hesitated. Okay, I used to have the three Korean dream. And when I was little, my great aunt used to tend to see if my parents had shifts at the same time.
And in the dream, I'm in her spare bedroom, which we called the West bedroom because it was on the West Side of the house. But this room was always like 10 or 15 degrees colder than everywhere else in the house. That will come into play in a minute. But in the dream, I'm standing in this bedroom and it's summertime.
It's the middle of the day. It's very bright. It's very happy. The house has been freshly cleaned.
Just mopped and went next and busted everything. And I'm standing in the doorway like I'm going to walk out. When I look around and there's all these shapes and the shapes are probably roughly two inches big. And there's circles and there's triangles and there's squares and there are all different colors and they're just floating around.
That's the dream. That's the last nightmare. It doesn't sound scary, but the feeling in the dream is terrifying. And I remember thinking, well, that's really weird.
Why am I scared of shapes, right? So one day, thanks, I know. So one day, thanks, Givin. We'd eaten and we were just sitting around.
I'll shoot the breeze and Castle and I think we got to talk about recurring dreams. And I said, yeah, this is really weird one that I've had. And I had it maybe a half a dozen times or so. And so I relate the dream.
And Castle looks at me and he goes, I have had that exact same dream. And I'm like, oh, wait. And he goes, and get this. So when my granddad passed away, we sold the house.
And it was purchased by a family who had a daughter, Castle's Age. And they were on a band trip because we were all in March and then. He went on a band trip and they got talking about recurring dreams on his band trip. And so Castle tells this dream that I just told you and this girl who now lived in that bedroom looked at him and she goes, I've had that exact same dream.
So we haven't investigated the house because strangers have it, no. But we did go kind of creepy stock outside and investigate it. And in this West bedroom, the closet, when I was a little, always scared the high academy. And I would occasionally have sleepovers there.
And without fail, whoever I invited to come have a sleepover with me would end up leaving in the morning calling their parents at like one in the morning. And when we kind of creep investigated from the road, there was a demonic entity that lived in the closet, which does not surprise me at all. Every time I was in that room, I just felt menacing and like something was looking over your shoulder. So I talked to a couple of different mediums about the dream and kind of the consensus without them talking to each other because these were on separate occasions was that the type three was trying to get into our good graces.
Like it could have been looking for it could have been the start of a possession. It could have been an invitation, an invitation, trying to get an invitation. What were the shapes? Pardon?
What were the shapes that's weird? Yeah, I don't know how it would have gotten. It was a happy, cheerful shapes and a clean house and it's bright. Maybe it was so creepily like little perfect like Pleasantville that it was just like creepy.
And so like it was trying to do it but it wasn't doing a good job. That's just weird. I don't know. So that could have been.
Do you guys might have fallen asleep with some sensory videos on? I don't know. Anyway, who knows? So the most thing that I have online list is you may perform or the person that's possessed could possibly perform acts of humiliation.
You're an alien on themselves refusing to eat, body parts moving in ways that they really should not and I have seen that happen in a creepy one. That's going to be on the more extreme tearing their clothes, spitting, drooling, defecating on themselves, things that would be humiliating that normal people would not do. Running out into the snow in a fetal position and screaming, stop it while someone's ringing a bell. Yes.
What kind of oddly specific. They didn't have anything done. We've actually had one of the investigations that our group has done where we were dealing with an actual possessed person. They did that for the other trying to cleanse the house and they were vomiting as they were trying to do a blessing.
They were I didn't actually go on this particular investigation. I'm just re retailing what I would. Yeah, so that's it. The person was speaking Latin to them.
So that's another thing speaking language is that they shouldn't know when they did the cleansing on the house and rang the bell. It was January, February, it was cold. There was snow outside. He ran out with the sex, my shorts, no shirt on and went and laid in the snow in a fetal position with his hands clamped over zero screaming, make it stop, make it stop.
So yeah, this is real stuff. Another thing that I don't know if we mentioned it. I feel like we didn't though. Sometimes they might exhibit a new skill that they are like masterful at out of nowhere, like drawing really well, cooking, martial arts, like something that they had not done before.
That doesn't mean somebody can't just discover something that they're good at, right? This is really just like zero to 100 out of the blue express knowledge of this skill that they should not have. Right. Oh, speaking of the knowledge that they shouldn't know, it's also like knowing things about people and things that you shouldn't know.
Like, oh, I knew that you did this or that, like secrets or whatever. And it's like, there's no way they could have known that kind of stuff. Right. And so when you get to this, once we talked about would be kind of the sadly enough, the minor changes that you'll notice.
I'm sure a lot of people are listening to this going, those seem pretty minor. But with what Whiskey just said and with the body moving in different ways, there's a bunch of other stuff will run through them kind of quick, but they can go long periods without linking. They can appear catatonic. They will start speaking languages.
They don't know or their own language with an accent that's not typically theirs. They can become completely rigid and can't be moved even by multiple people. So kind of like a toddler when they're really angry and don't want to be in their car seat. That was supposed to make y'all laugh.
Oh, never laugh. I have a cat. I have a cat. I'm but toddlers and car seat's very often.
We don't have children. Have a cat. Okay, that is true. Let's go for you guys at home.
Hope you're laughing. Anybody that's trying to put an angry toddler in a car seat knows exactly what I'm talking about in their laughing. I think a bullet or they become no bones. Yeah, if Moon could have been here tonight, she would be laughing her guts out still.
That's graphic. Yeah, maybe she's going to be possessed from that show. If you're laughing your guts out, you might be possessed, right? Yeah, I mean, Jeff Fox, where they have possessions, you might be possessed.
Let's see, changes in the ice. They'll turn almost black. And if you've ever looked in the eyes of someone that's possessed, they're black. They almost don't look at you.
They almost look past you like they're looking at something. We need to start putting out videos of our podcast because you've got to see whiskey. Okay, I'd have to put clothes on. Is it us in human strength, their voice may change and writing or symbols could appear on their body in forms of welts and scratches.
So the one possessed person that I encountered knew my middle name. That was the first word that they said to me. My middle name is not one that I'll tell in the podcast. It's a barrel.
It's whiskey barrel. My name is whiskey barrel. But it's not a name. It's literally not a name you could guess.
It's not a name you could try to smell. It's an object. It's not even an object. It's just a guess that makes it a name, but it is not a common name.
It's not one that anybody could ever guess unless you have a story. I was just saying. I know your middle name and it's just not a common name. I know your middle vowels.
Yeah, nobody's allowed to say it. It's Voldemort. But there's no way that that person could have known. There's absolutely no way that they would have known that I was a person coming to their house and they just look me right in the eyes.
And like one thing that they will try to do is get something over on the person that's trying to help, right? So that was an attempt to put me off to be like, they know something about me. Big look dude. If you Google me hard enough, you'll find my middle name.
Obviously this is like when I saw the pranal directions on MapQuest. So googling me back then was not very easy to do if at all possible. But that's one thing that like we have to be prepared for when we get into it. Luckily I played a lot of Call of Duty growing up.
So like Call of Duty multiplayer lobby is really set me up for dealing with somebody who's possessed trying to roll insults at me because I probably already heard it. Yeah. So when you walk into a home and you have someone start telling you things about you that they should not know, you can't let it put you off. You can't let it scare you.
You can't let it knock you off your game. You just have to take it and stride. So when I was a teenager, I was about 18, 17, I was working a job and this creepy girl that worked with me started with stuff like that. She was creepy.
It was a very off-putting experience. I think she was probably possessed or along that lines. It was a very, very dark situation. Possessed or obsessed, bad?
I feel like maybe she was just learning things about you. Well, could have been, but she was telling me things that I hadn't brought up and this was just a work acquaintance. This wasn't someone that I had gone out with or anything like that. And she brought up some very things that you could have found out about me, but most people wouldn't have known.
It was strange. And this list that we kind of rattled off tonight isn't all of them. There's going to be other things. These are kind of the big ones.
These are the more common ones. One, I think you've heard me and Castle over the years that we've podcasted talk about the demonic entity that we built with back in the 90s. And the list that I have is from a different person. But if you read The Exorcist by John Zappas, he talks about a sign of possession where a body part will be enlarged.
And this podcast is not where I want to talk about what Castle and I went through. If I ever do a podcast just on that, I would want him on the podcast with. But the person in question, her left, which is a key point, left side, her whole hand, clear to her elbow, was probably double, maybe even triple in size. And John Zappas talks about if there's a possession, sometimes it can just swell up one part of the left side of your body.
And it was one of those things that you didn't ask her, hey, what's wrong with your arm? Because that's just rude. But in hindsight later, we didn't know that at the time. But later we read John Zappas' book The Demonologist.
Did I say The Exorcist earlier? Yes. Sorry, my bad. The Demonologist.
If you read that, it talks about that. And send them back on that and go, ooh, creepy. Yeah, and it wasn't just this. There were other things in this story that leads to that, that this would be a piece of evidence supporting that kind of conclusion.
Yeah. And then the other person that I believe was either also possessed or very manipulative, or being worked on by the possessed woman, spoken tongues. And to this day, I don't know if you were speaking in tongues or if you was just rattling off gibberish to be scary. But I do feel that the woman definitely had a possession of some sort.
So if you're out there and you're like, ooh, I've got someone possessed and you didn't name off the, this isn't a full list of everything, but it's the more common. Commonly seen symptoms. Quick question, Raymond. Yes.
Which side of your lips swell up at the graveyard? Exactly. We will talk about that when we get to interesting the person who said they're not possessed on the podcast. Very strange.
That actually might be a very nice segue into investigations. Wouldn't it, wouldn't it be too bad? Exactly. Because we just got stuff to talk about before that.
No. Alright, Pete. Anybody have anything else they want to add about possessions? If you feel like, if you're listening and you feel like someone, you or yourself, someone in your family, please call us.
Obviously get some medical help first. Make sure that it's not something that some medicine or therapy couldn't take care of first because we wouldn't want a health issue to be overlooked. But if health care professionals, counselors, psychologists, if they can't take care of it, please call us because we would love to come out and help. But if it's not something we can take care of, we will absolutely refer you to people who can.
Is it ready for another bear little whiskey? Yes. I like that segue. Thank you.
Yeah, yeah, yeah. We're ironing it out. We'll figure out what works. So what's going on with whiskey?
Great question. I've actually finally got a product ready to go to release the cell to the masses by the masses. I have two left right now, but I'll have a bunch more. I have like 30 coming soon of some little spirit communication lights.
Are these the ones that I dibbed? Yeah, you dibbeds. You dibbeds one, one of the exclusive purple set. Because purple is my color.
We'll have, well how's that? I'm just gonna be like red, green and blue. So you can have like, yes, no, maybe it, you could say ABC, whatever you want, right? We tell it what the lights mean and go off of that.
We've had really good responses from them so far, like at family tree, actually, even on the news on Fox 13, they had evidence from the flashlights that they put on live. So I left them with a pair of the exclusive set just to honor their visit with us. But they'll have that come in. We'll have some K two meters come in some rem pods.
The Mystic Frog is actually going to have a custom frog version of my teddy bear. So that'll be pretty funny. The sea ones we once they provide me with the frog. But we're gonna get a lot of stuff out there.
So pretty soon at some of our events, you'll be able to maybe rent a K two meter or buy one from us instead of, you know, sketchy people on Amazon that are charging you like seven times the price. So that's the tweet. If you want something that might not be equipment, maybe I'll post them on there soon. Just go to advancedpreneurable.com.
You can get our super natural hour swags, support the podcast, get cleansing kits. You can just donate money to us so you don't get possessed. I'm just kidding. That's not how it works, but imagine.
Yeah, be sure check out the website and hopefully we'll get some more events up in about a month after our brief break. But that doesn't mean that you can't call it to be got something in your house. Absolutely. Yeah, as far as public events, we'll take a break until January.
But if you feel like something's in your house, doesn't matter what time of the year, give us a ringy ding. Oh, junk drawer. Okay. I'm so enamored with my ringy ding comment that I forgot I was doing.
Junk drawer. So we have done this a couple of years ago, but we're going to do it again because we got new people. So it is the end of October. By the time you hear this, it's going to be the very end of October, but Halloween is going to be the next night.
So you still have a night to watch some spooky movies. And if you like us, a spooky movie is good anytime of the year. So I want to hear what everybody's favorite spooky movies or two or three that you like to watch this time of year or anytime of the year. Easter maybe you like to watch spooky movies or anything.
Here's the thing about me and pop culture. All right. In one year in my brain for the moment I consume it out the other one, I have very minimal favorites when it comes to that. My favorite movies are not super spooky.
Third favorite movie is Constantine. Kind of spooky. Right now I'm watching the Pope's Exorcist, the kind of brand for what we're talking about. I don't.
Let me tell you movies that made me scared. I was a kid. I was scary as a child. I was so scared of that movie.
I was scared of Pinocchio when they were little. Maybe they feel like puppets. I also had one experience with the Texas Chainsaw Massacre where I watched it right before I went to bed. And then my neighbors behind me decided to start chainsawing their tree to cut it at seven in the morning.
So I woke up, jumped out of bed and panicked and then realized that somebody was cutting a tree and I was not going to be chased down by a leather face. Well, I was obsessed with Casper growing up because I was obsessed with with the Devin and Sawa because I thought he was the cutest thing ever. But I guess movies I was afraid of. First of all, one time I walked through an area where my uncle was watching it and I saw the clown come out of the toilet and a little known, really embarrassing fact is that for a very long time growing up, I was scared of the toilets and flushing them, especially if they're very loud when they flushed.
And I definitely would flush and run to the point where my mom, many years later, was like, I'm the time you used to always just flush and run. So, and actually when I was little, I saw Princess Bride and I actually thought it was a scary movie because of like the fire rat situation in the sand and getting tortured. I was like, this is for sure a scary movie. And then when I was in high school, I was with some friends like, whoa, she watched Princess Bride and I'm like, like, scaring me and I was like, ah, okay, I was trying to have a brave face and I was like, oh, this is not a scary movie.
So there you go. Hey, Valma, quick question. Yeah. Would you like to go in on a business with me of a series of rest stops named Flushing Run?
Just scoot your butt out and then go. You flush and you get out of there, get on your own. If it gives me money, I'll be down. There we go.
There you go. Anybody on Patreon if you want to subscribe to the flush and run to your... That's not... We'll get you on the ground floor.
So, some of my favorite haunting movies to watch. Are the others? Are you guys seeing that one? It's called Kitten.
Yeah. Oldie. I think we're seeing other movies. Ooh, spoiler.
No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, And we all about pad. I'm not down. We all screamed and jumped and ran and she thought it was hilarious. We did not think it was hilarious, but you know, there's that.
I'm surprised that we're acting at phobias. I don't know that list. That with the giant spiders everywhere? I don't care.
But I was not sure. How many I forgot about that. The thing that's here is Raven in real life is just spiders. All right.
