Lock in your spot at www.designurlegacy.com/consultation. - Storms come, they always do. But they pass at some point. Yet the damage they leave can last for generations and become anchored into family legacies as well as individual identities. We cannot change anything until we become conscious as to what choices are available to us. The 5 R’s offer you the power of choice. It is important to have counter narratives. Changing your thinking can change your life and thus, your legacy. Reduce, Repair, Rebuild, Re-role/Retire and Relocate: 3:50 Reduce: What do you do when you are challenged or undermined in your worldview when the evidence is contrary? What tools and soft skills give us the ability to overcome trauma? 22:22 Repair: From relationship building to repairing, the pandemic caused strain in families in who could argue over who wore masks and who didn’t, who got written out of wills based on their emotional governance, and which relationships were maintained? This “R” refers interpersonal skills, empathy, active listening, reasoning and understanding of other people as well as being/staying motivated to do what is necessary. When is staying silent or forgiving another a superpower compared to getting your dog in the fight? How much do we allow resentment to govern our legacies? How can the elderly be encouraged to come forward in their presence, skill sets and super powers as intermediaries? 41:11 Rebuild: This R includes psychological rebuilding in how able are you to rebuild mentally? Rebuilding may not mean you build exactly as you did before, when your worldview has now changed and you have a new way of looking at things. When do you choose to engage in new habits, social circles and other influences – to embark on a journey in growing your mindset? 53:30 Re-role/retire: In the menu of choices and ownership, invest in the best advice to do the inner and outer work for your legacy. A variety of advisors can see blind spots and angles you will miss based on their experiences or to pre-empt new actions in foresight. 1:09:30 Relocate. --- About Legacy Planning(c): There is an empty space between financial planning and estate law where a co-active coach can expand the conversations around your holistic legacy planning. Our Story: We believe the positive legacy of every human being can be realized with great coaching. Most of us are not developing the kind of legacy that allows us to be as happy and intentional as we'd like to be. We think, speak and write about developing personal life legacies so others can see a way forward with ease and possibilities. If the path to your legacy is defined and developed, you will be able to experience more freedom, fulfillment and satisfaction. Our Mission Statement: Developing a holistic legacy is not yet an endeavor to pursue for most people, even if it could be a vision ‘one day’, which sometimes makes people feel overwhelmed and with clay feet. We wake up every morning and pave a way for "new legacy conversations" so more people can take personal agency in designing their lasting legacy. Our Theme: If the bridge to a personal legacy is made clear, more people will be able to cross to the other side and design a legacy filled with meaning and their values. - If you’re not a client yet, here’s your invitation to schedule your consultation and book your first session online today. We work with self-made entrepreneurs, family office executives, NextGen family members, trustees of charitable estates and those participating in family foundations.
