Poulin Amplication - Tone Test!!
from Imtiaz Alam · host Imtiaz Alam
One of the biggest technological advances in amplifier simulation was the use of FIR [Finite Impulse Response] filters to replicate the filtering sound of a loudspeaker. FIR filters (or IRs) allowed sound designers to capture the actual response of a loudspeaker (plus microphone) which afforded a huge improvement in overall realism of a guitar tone. A digital amp simulator takes an dry guitar signal {commonly known as D.I. -Direct Injection} and processes the signal in the same manner as a real physical amplifier would. Here is a sample track using Poulin Amplification (undoubtably the best digital amp simulator plugin developers).. Guitars [Jackson JS32 7Q Dinky] - Debarshi Hazarika - Composer/Drum programming - Imtiaz Alam. No post processing and bass (guitar) included.
