I'm your host, cathol And having a fabulous evening I'm fabulous and tonight on my right we've got peaches aka abrani And we have kim what's happening and we have lurch may be an we're not sure what the dip dip Dianne couldn't join us tonight because apparently in her words she fell and broke her butt.
Apparently she went hiking, she's clumsy, fell, and like I don't know, ruptured some vertebrae or something minor like that. Broke or pelvis or pelvis? Something. All I know is that she...
Cucksick. Is it her cucksick? Well hey, hey. All I want to say is Don, way to go.
That's my sister. Knuckles. That's awesome. One for strum.
That's my sister, Tim. So, Dianne is not here. My sister is really Dianne described. I am not.
It's still kind of pretty big. No Caitlyn Jenner. I'm not here. I'm not here on our final.
Is this the final? Yeah, this is the final. Yeah, this is the final. The next episode we're going to have some special guests.
That's right. Who are we having on our list? We're going to have hopefully Lara and Tim Conyers. Fantastic.
Oh, that's right. Special K. Special K. Didn't we decide her first name was Karma?
It was Karma and then we decided to special K. She's the Karma or special K. Either one. She'll have a bowl of things.
It's Kevin. The real special K. Make your ass. I'm just going to put that out there.
You can put your cushion cream because apparently you won't eat cinnabam. Ooh. Hey. Hey.
Cinnons are delicious. But today you are munching out on crispy cream. You've seen Elor is going to be mad because she's going to need this end up on. I did give it to my supervisor at work to earn points at work.
You know, it's funny though. I'm kind of out of cream because it's the food of his people. It's a cheap day. Short fat bald men.
Today was a cheap day. It's because people, the police. Sorry. Short fat bald men.
A little slow. A little slow. Short fat bald men. I've seen them.
They go to the park and they dress up and they run around and they're like lightning bolt. Lightning bolt. That's not my people. The Loppers.
Yeah. All right. So we are going to talk about a movie Carrie Tonight. Before we get into that, we've had a couple investigations since our last show.
Let's talk about those before we get into the movie. I'm going to update our poll from last, you know, the poll you put on the pod dash website. I want you to know that I'm totally kicking ass with people agreeing with me. So for those who are unfamiliar with the poll Tim, why don't you tell them what the question is and where we're at?
So if you listen to our first episode of this three part series of Poll Three Guys, why are you pushing me? Because your microphone is like six inches bluer chin. I talk loud. Yeah, he does.
I've been told I talk loud. He needs to put the mic back where it was before. Yes. I've actually had people come up to me on investigations like can you not talk.
So you're just looking. You're being loud. It's good. I don't have you loud.
I've been whispering on your... Wispering for the recording. So, yeah. So we talked about two different types of ways that there could be poll two guys activity.
The first one being more of like an angry type two or demonic haunting is what I go with. Or there was the like teenagers, usually female teenagers that were experiencing a lot of stress in their life. And they were putting off psycho kinesis vibes or whatever basically... Psychokinetic energy.
Psychokinetic energy. Psychokinetic energy. The stress induced from experiencing a menopausal reaction from the... Menopause it.
Yeah, because of lots of working girls who are going through menopause right now. I guess she was a high school senior, so she's 18. But she's just having her period for the first time. So learn how to head.
Sorry. So learn how to search birds and their bees. And when a mommy loves a daddy very much. They give each other a special hug.
They hold hands in the swimming pool. The daddy gives them a special hug. So Deanna went to a class and she talked about it on our Pulsergeis episode. But the other theory is that it's just teens experiencing a lot of stress that's causing this psycho kinetic energy and making things move around.
So it seems like it's paranormal. Telekinesis. Yeah, it's psycho kinetic. Yeah.
Don't correct me. I'll do what I want. Don't censor me. So too anyway, so the poll was, do you agree with me on demonic conning?
I totally censored him. Nice. Sorry, go ahead. You go f*** yourself.
Put the explicit warning on this bitch. So, wow, that jumped ahead per class. Please continue to. The other option was...
You're giving me telekinesis going on. So the options on the poll were demonic haunting, which is what I went with or the psychokinesis, which is what Deanna believed. And there's also the poll right now. 62% of the voters agree with me on demonic conning's, where only 17 of you agree with Deanna psychokinesis.
What's the third option? Other hauntings? Other hauntings. And that one's actually at 21%.
And that one was put on there kind of like if people don't think it's a negative haunting or psycho kinetic. So, I'm sorry, other hauntings has more of a vote than Deanna's? Yes. Okay, just want to make sure I was clear on that.
Does that offend you, maybe Deanna? No, no, no. It's all about, for some reason, it's the women and the word psycho that are going to bother me. The go hand in hand.
Yeah, I don't understand. I'm not psycho. You know what she says, she's got a twitch in her left eye. I'm not psycho.
We all know Norm Bates was a man, so there we go. Some of the best series of lives in the world have been in. Kind of transgender people. So, anyway, so to be honest with you, I'm still in the fence on this as far as what it is, but I still lean a little bit more towards actual paranormal activity.
What kind of fence is it? It's a sharp pointy one. That's why I still on the fence. Oh, ouch, hey.
Yeah, I know. It's winters. People are going to have their ear-shirt on this episode. So, my interest is for an angry email to Castle at Wistano.
Before we get too far into this, also we probably ought to talk about our contest because the deadline has passed. The deadline has passed and we have picked a winner. They haven't been notified yet, but they will be before this airs. Our winner had a very awesome story.
We have about three that we really loved. They were all really good entries. Yeah, I can say, actually, all the entries. There's one that didn't win.
In fact, the person who wrote this, I can't remember their name off the top of my head, but it's a story about a horse. It was very well written, by the way. It was a very great story. And the reason why you didn't win is because it's long.
It's longer than what we could put in that we were allowed for the magazine. Honestly, it was a really great story and I thank you for writing it. But, yeah, unfortunately, we couldn't pick that one just because it was about eight pages long and we need to store it. It's only like two pages long.
Okay, so, yes, I don't have her name. Oh, it's hard. But the story about the horse, it was a great story. It was actually really well written.
I was actually really impressed with how well it was. Yeah, like I said, unfortunately, we couldn't use that one just because Paul said we can only have two or three pages in his magazine and this was about eight and I thought it was a little lengthy. Yeah, it was a little lengthy. So, unfortunately, we couldn't pick you, but it was a great story.
Our winner ended up actually being Danielle. It kind of came down to two. Did you mention that it came down to two? It came down to two.
It came down to two. It came down between Danielle's and Keith's story. Danielle's story was about a haunted bracelet. And hers is actually based on actual events that happened to her.
Keith's story was about his four-year-old son who had passed and was still around and moving the keys around and stuff. They constantly hear, well, like car keys. They'd find stuff in the kids' bedroom. And then they'd also hear like the piano and other things playing the kids' favorite song.
It took a little star. And that one was also really good. And that's the two that came down between. Keith's story was really good.
It was fictional, but well written. But after the five of us read the stories, they voted lean towards Danielle's. It was close. It came down to a type breaker on who was going to win that.
So upcoming episode, maybe our next episode, we will have a reading done of her story. And then she'll be able to choose. Actually, you know, I'm just going to email her and say, you know what, you can come on both investigations. You know, I'm going to get crazy here and say that since they both came down to the wire that we should probably read both of them.
Okay, whoa, that's crazy. I know, right? It takes a lot of them. Whoo, settle down there, Castle.
You're at about 12. You take down about a five or six. I may have had a little caffeine tonight. So, you know, we can read both of them.
What I want to do is for the person that wrote the horse story, I want to invite them to Benson-Gris Mill. Okay, what about our second runner-up? Our second runner-up. It can also come to Benson-Gris Mill and then our winner can choose two come to both of them because I'm going to invite you to both investigations.
I'm changing the prizes. Thank you for the six of you that actually participated in our contest. Seven. Seven.
Six. I don't know. Wait, wait, wait, seven. So the winner, you get to come on both of them.
I'm going to deal with getting emailed before this error. But you can come to both of them. Our runner-up and our awesome story that was just too long for the contest, you both get to come to Benson-Gris Mill with us. By the way, as we do these contests, let everybody know, we have, we actually, I look at the statistics quite frequently in terms of Adam and we actually do very well in our lessons.
I'm not answering how bad it is. I mean, it would be better if you weren't on it. You talked too much. I know, right.
But as I say, but it's interesting because when you have contests, we only have a handful of people who participate. So when we do have contests, you got a pretty good shot at winning if you participated. It's not like you're going up against 10,000 entries. My question is, I want you guys to email me, Timmywhist.org.
Tell me what you would want as a prize. Because I know all of you live here in Utah and it's not easy for you to get to do an investigation with this one million dollars. So what would you like as a prize? Like a t-shirt or a beanie piece of equipment?
Like, let us know and we can make the contest more available to all the listeners and not just local listeners. I would like a lock-in of your beard here tied with a blue ribbon. And spritz with a little ear cologne. Yes, I know.
Wow. There's no touching of the beard. Just go with it. Whoa!
We're at Hawaii. Brandi is touching his beard. You should. I feel kind of dirty the way she's running her fingers through it.
Jealous. You don't have any hard-warming fingers, too. Or do I. Wow.
That was the other one. Whoo. All right. Don't look at that same space.
Wow. Okay. Yeah, because that wasn't supposed to be dirty, but we got dirty. Yeah, well, you realize you're sitting right behind you.
Okay, next topic. I'll fight you. Yes, you did. Of course I did.
The end did, but she's not here to talk about it. And why is that? I can see Broker but. And she's bringing a cushion.
I think. They have those butt cushions. The giant don't have one. The giant don't have one.
The giant don't have one. The giant don't have one. The giant don't have one. I think I've got one of those don't have one of those don't have one of those.
I should have just told them. When they removed your test tools? Is that surgery? No, that would not be the surgery.
They chopped off your balls. So let's talk about that. That was your wedding night, sorry. I'm sorry.
I'm sorry. There's children in the room. He grew those back. Alright, so Tim, tell us about the investigation you want to.
I don't want to. So one of our listeners and he's become a kind of a good friend of mine, David, attends some of the Trunga Hans with us. He's been on some of our investigations as well. He hit me up on Facebook and said, you know, hey, I've got this co-worker.
They're experiencing stuff. They sent me some videos and pictures. And, you know, I sent him to Brandi and she's like, oh, there's nothing in those videos and pictures, but that doesn't mean there's nothing there. So just out of curiosity, I went to the house.
It was probably Friday night at like 11, 13, because I just barely got off work. Yes. And started talking to the family. It was kind of weird for me because like, you know, I've talked about on some of the episodes where I can fill the emotions of the spirits.
Well, this one, I was actually getting information from the spirits. I wasn't getting like full information, like, you know, say Brandi or Cadenwood, because I can't like see or hear them. But I mean, I remember there was one point I'm sitting there like, well, I feel like this one spirit's hiding from me. It doesn't like that I'm hearing it.
It doesn't like the homeowner. And then I sit there and I'm, you know, I'd only been in like the kitchen in like some of the bedrooms. I haven't looked outside and I haven't seen the backyard yet and I just go, hey, do you have a tree in the very back of the backyard? On this side of your yard, really big with a branch going this way and a kid swing hanging on it.
They just got in and looked at me and they're like, yeah, how do you know? And I'm like, I don't know how I know that. But it just kind of came to me. And it was kind of like that throughout the night where just random things come to me.
Like, I thought that there was like a three-year-old girl there that really liked the swing. I thought there was a woman there that was trying to protect the family. We've found it later. It wasn't actually a woman.
But I did get at one point where I was talking to the mother. That's like, can this experience when he goes to bars? Does he usually find out it's not a woman? That's 30 minutes.
They're Adam's apple's bigger than mine. That's usually a giveaway. Sorry, can I resist? I can find their Adam's apple behind their beard.
I just wasn't just, I don't know what I was thinking. It was too much rum. I'm going to have too much rum. Well, he's a rum gun.
Anyway, so I kind of got the feeling that there was some kind of abuse that had been going on or that somehow involved the mom. And thanks for punching me. You're welcome. I wasn't able to connect all the dots.
I was getting names too. I was getting the name Anna, which is really close to what the spirit's actually name was. His name was Adam. I found out as soon as Peter showed up that he was actually a transgender person that had passed away.
His name was Adam, but he was trying to think of a different name, a female name for himself. Brandy was actually able to confirm that there was a toddler there that was between three and five years old. The other thing I picked up on, like I said, there was the abuse that somehow involved the mom. I was told before I got there, they did tell me that there was a spirit with a handlebar mustache.
The one thing I did pick up on was that he was wearing a cowboy hat, which was confirmed by Brandy and the homeowner because they actually saw him. And when Brandy got there, she had actually filled in the dots for me, kind of connected the lines where the abuse was coming in. He's all connected. He's all connected dots filled in the lines.
You just sounded like you had no idea what you wanted to say. Thanks. You're welcome. You were stumbling on your words?
Yeah, it happens. You want to tell the rest of the story? No. Shut your mouth, woman.
Wow. Based on the movie, we saw so much of you slapping so much of the point. Whether it's Tim slapping Brandy or Brandy slapping thing, either it's acceptable based on 1970 standards. This is going to slap each other And there it goes circle slap And just totally got slapped so yeah the type two spirit that was there those Self-conscious no, I lost my time thought Tender type two spirit with the beard named Adam Transgender spirit in how beard he just didn't know Why he was there what he wanted his name to be and he was he was also abused the two spirits were abused the one the Brandi was able to tie together for me was the type two spirit was abused by his dad when he was a child Was that a transgender one or is that the child spirit?
That was actually this is a third-spirit There's three spirits ah there was the transgender the child and the man in the cowboy hat and the man in the cowboy hat was a type two spirit was harassing the family because when he was alive he was abused by his dad and the mother of the Family reminded him of his mom and his mom never did anything to stop the abuse So he was tormenting the family because you look like my mom You know it's interesting if you think about it We've had a lot of cases where a lot of the reason they're having activity is because the person in the home the living person Reminds the spirit very much of somebody from their time I know for instance Jan had that spirit fall home from Salem, Massachusetts that look like her accuser from the single witch trials Her mother's accuser We've had several cases where the reason they had activities because the spirit pissed off because the homeowner or her over there Bears a strong resemblance to you know Yeah, I had that a spirit following me around the whole night Benson Grissmill because I looked like someone used to work with The K2 I'm sure I talked about this before the K2 that I was holding was going off the entire night and I swapped it out I think twice I remember you came to me it was still We actually you and I switch K2 is a switch K2 is it was still doing it? Yeah, and we switched with my k2 as well, and that's when I started taking pictures in a Randy And she's like yeah, you've got a spearfall. Yeah, he was nice camera brazilian Charles. I said I think Charlie So I'm gonna talk one of his pockets.
Hang on to this So we were able to actually well when I say we I mean brandy was actually able to cross over all three spirits It was really cool for brandy was the little girl as soon as she crossed over was right back there in her angelic form Brandy can see her which you could feel her energy that's how strong it was and the little girl was right back there trying to play with This one again right after she crossed over. Oh, how funny? Yeah, but yeah, it was it was it was one of those where the spirits like they just happened to be there except for the one Saw the lady and reminded of his mom so we decided to harass the family now What kind of anywhere they have that got you there in the first place? I don't know if we talked about that the daughter when she was home alone the smart alone The smoke alarm would go off for no apparent reason and they couldn't figure out why it was like you know You plug a 9 volt battery and smoke alarm and it wasn't the one like it was We go off sometimes when a should be in the shower And it wasn't the one that's like right outside the bathroom door like the one that should be going off When you open the door and you got all this team that's it was one that was actually on the other end of the house That's kind of strange.
So it was yeah It wasn't one that was anywhere near her near the bathroom. It was on the other end of the house That was going off when she was home alone. They the mom would actually have dreams She was she's kind of a sensitive but she she couldn't she could feel some stuff But most of it came to her in dreams And that's why we thought the ones where was a woman because she only saw the spirit Adam from behind and just the way He did his hair kind of look like you know the way a woman would do their hair So that's why we kind of thought he was a woman that and him being kind of gendered wanting to be a woman Kind of give us that but you know brandy's that we're kind of put that all together for us You know and it's interesting because we've actually run across the handful of transgender spirits in our time I know there's one that we ran into and Fort Douglas that was transgender I can't remember his name Deanna was actually talking to him for quite some time. Do you remember his name?
Randy? Nope. You know the spirit I'm talking about right? Yeah, I think we run across three or four in our time So kind of interesting Anything else any other investigations that anybody wants to talk about?
You know it's kind of interesting for us. This is kind of our slow season It seems like in the summer things really slow down quite dramatically Most of the stuff we have on our doctor right now is all just public stuff that we've arranged ourselves Spins and gris mail fear factory that seems like the residential really pick up around fall Through the winter into early spring and then they kind of dry up a little bit So that's because everybody's out of town on vacation for some. I think that's part of it But I also I think there's a little bit more energy EMF type energy that's available in the winter that may give spirits a little bit more oomph to do their to do their thing So moving on to our movie because we did say we talked about Kerry. Yes Kerry By Brian's mama starring Sissy Space sick and John Travolta his first theatrical release he'd started in movies made for TV up until that point But that was his first theatrical release 1970 Cuz he did urban cowboy in 1986 now the reason we did carry is because we did poltergeist focused on a paranormal Answer to poltergeist and carry more focused on the telekin telekinesis or psycho kinesis.
How do you want to raise it angle for poltergeist? First oh go ahead. I'm sorry I didn't mean to interrupt your time. I say first off before you go I have to actually kind of chuckle the movie a little bit because it was very you can tell the movie's almost 50 years old Based well, I guess 40 years old.
It's still a great story though It is but I just have to laugh because John Travolta is a slap in the hell out of the place Yeah, well, it was the first Stephen King novel to be adapted into film. Yeah, and Stephen King You know, he's a great author. I still love a lot of his books. I'm a big fan of the dark terrorist series I just finished reading it in anticipation for the the bomb of a It's probably gonna flop the make for TV version was still up out with John Ritter back in the mid 90s But anyways, yeah, um, Stephen King's a great storyteller and that's that's a great story And if you think about it up to the point where the blood drops I mean that night being at the prom she she could have walked away from that with so much more self-esteem and feeling positive about herself after all She's experienced living such a repressed life with a Bible-thumping crazy mother that she could have gone to prom and walked away from it a normal young adult, but it was that bucket of blood that was the Unravel the whole ball, you know what what we should probably do for those who never seen this movie and talk Oh, no, you're good.
I'll start at the end Yeah, it's like citizen Kane just like memento I was gonna say for those who haven't seen it knows who won't see it because I know there's some who don't like to watch Our movie's film in 1976. Then why would they be listening to this horror films were like the greatest back in the 70s? Just one other movie's spoilers ahead I mean these 40 years old. You haven't seen it yet.
Yeah, get out from underneath the rock go rent yourself a copy of care There's been two remakes since this and actually the second the remake wasn't that bad if all of the same original story The okay, so the remake you're talking about is the newer one in like 2004. Yeah. Yeah, there was a remake done in 2003 Which I'm sure none of us have seen no, but there is a 2003 remake really I did not know so just a quick plot rundown for those who are unfamiliar with Carrie what movies about it's about a girl Who's supposedly I'm hoping it came based on the introduction. Otherwise, you see her boobies Yeah, you see what I make a high schoolers in the gym shower, which kind of stinks of a simulated child porn Which was really weird.
They would do that movies nowadays. Um, just just so you all know we're not into that type of stuff No, but I speak for yourself Wow, that was the internal monologue that was lurch Yes, you said that out loud for the police or investigating this that was definitely lurch. Yeah, definitely because people apparently think I'm silent on Or lurch, I don't get it, but you know, hey you guys have ears apparently two carry TV movie anyway So it starts out with this girl Carrie and she's kind of the lirpy Awkward quiet socially inept don't have any friends never talks anyone keeps herself. Yeah perspective very plain Girl who's she starts out in gym class second.
Oh, yeah, so hold on. We're talking about Carrie or your sister Ouch notice I'm not the only one laughing because I'm at the end to hit me Yeah, I've already been over this So the game let me start with Carrie losing the volleyball game for the team and the girls kind of Yeah, someone I walked up to her hit her in the face with her hand said you're piece of shit Come on This movie's like the poster movie for bullying It really is well. Yeah, well they get back in the locker room carries in the shower She has her menstrual cycle for the first time life as a senior She's freaking out she's stumbling through the locker room and touching her menstrual blood on other people's white shirt And they as long they are throwing tampons and tampads and max pads at her and plug it up Girl is huddled in the corner of the shower in the cranking position Tampons and pad that her Coach comes to rescue coach coach coach coach coach coach that's I think this is where the first lap comes in because Carrie was being hysterical so the gym coach Slaps across the face she totally slapped her cross the face, but it got carried calm down The first episode of the psycho kinesis kicks in because as all the girls in the gym class are laughing You see light explode there in the gym and so from there the movie progresses to the gym teacher basically getting all these girls In detention for lack of better term and the hot girl the mean hot girl is mad because she can't go to prom because she doesn't want to Do the exercises in detention of the gym? For punishment they were they wanted to suspend all the girls and they decided to get instead of suspending them They let them serve detention so they can go to prom it's kind of like a boot camp detention where they have to go out and do exercise for like an Hour and calisthenics the mean hot girl said F this I'm out and I think the teacher slapped her then at that point as well Yeah, the mean hot girl with that beautiful feathered hair Yeah, this is another by long shot the mean hot girl toward the gym teacher started kind of mouth and off The teacher just flat out what handed her right across the back and then she grabbed her and started shaking her and yelling at her face I'm just like you can't get away with that.
I'm like why can't Jim teachers do this shit now? I can't do that now. Just slap your kids straight Spare the rod spoil the child so this is where things get kind of kind of weird because one of the hot girls decides that she's gonna be Terry's friend, but she kind of goes about it in a little bit of a strange way in my Well, so she's to be that you think all of these girls are hot So what is this hot girl and this hot girl? So and they're all high school age so that kind of wears the matter with you seriously that is perverse dude Girl and then the brunette hot girl is that your van in the driveway the one without of the windows?
You guys are looking in foil over the back window. I mean, I'm you know You gotta say free pup candy free puppy sign on the side. I'm you know these guys so So what happened next? Oh good Last time you use me no F bombs were dropped so And defensive myself these are like the hot cheerleaders when I'm talking about you say popular right you could you can say the same?
Really sexy underage high school girls There was the one girl she for whatever reason wasn't allowed to go to prom so what she did was ask her boyfriend who was like the See I mean He was the quarterback and she's our baseball guy She's like you know what I'm not gonna go to prom so why don't you ask Kerry to go to prom with you by the way He had spectacular hair what she did well She did that because she felt she actually was legitimately felt bad for what she had done Yeah, so I mean like she she gave up her red She was doing the boot camp class thing and she she could have got a problem But she decided to give up her chance to go to prom so Kerry could go and actually have a good time Yeah, that was William cat if you get a chance to look him up in IMDB he played the greatest American hero but has just a an elegant mane of Greenlets that is just Oh my goodness. It is this is a royal main not so much on him as the hair. It's the hair I mean, I feel I have a crush on his hair his hair is amazing. You have hair envy How old is he at the time of filming you said like 26 30 It's close to the ball that we're close to 30 Yeah, totally off topic but lurch has some like creepy toenail feet going up on the table I think there's an episode that we talked about that.
I'm still trying to get rid of fungus. Look just leprosy foot No, I got I got to know fun because I'm both feet. It's cool. I know shame in my game.
Hope you're not doing this episode So I got it's funny because it's working progress because this teenager and I'm using my air quotations when he smiles looks like he's about 30 years So right he's got a crow's feet Holy as crow's feet Actual child stars we want people that know what they're doing so as stuff is going on Carrie starting to figure out that she can do this whole psycho kinesis thing And so as people are being mean to her mom by the way like Bible thumper yeah, I kind of a crime on the Lord's words zealot religious zealot So what happens is this oh she she gets mad at Carrie for having her period because that's a sin oh, yes, definitely a sin Cycle Eve's transgression so mr. Hair who calling mr. Hair he asks out Carrie and the ginger gets kind of history You mean to me mr. Her Tommy the football star mr.
Hit let's go ask Carrie out and so the jim teachers kind of mad because she thinks They're up to something that they're like playing some kind of elaborate prank and they're not they're actually just being nice nice Mm-hmm and Carrie ends up agreeing to go to the the problem meanwhile Back at the ranch the mean girl the mean popular girls since I apparently can't say hot because you guys think it means something totally different but uh There was 40 years ago. I know so look at them Yeah, John triple to her boyfriend Yeah, so don't report and the other mean girl big girl do impersonations Get some big So they go and they sneak into a pig farm putting ladder under the brightest street light Yeah, right into the big farm. Yeah, hey there teenagers air quotations and the slaughterhouse is like decorated with pigs just it's like Yeah, let's go. They're just you know grazing in a field underneath the Sky yeah, let's go kill pigs and that's where the slaughterhouse is Behind the walls I should talk because it seems like and not correct me from wrong But it does not seem like it was a few days before prom when they gathered it seemed like it was A few days so they gather this pigs blood and put it in this bucket and hang it from the rafters the gym And it kind of seemed like it might have been in the rafters the gym for at least a day or two Yeah, now I already know what does I'm gonna ask you for the audience lurch what does blood do when it sits for oh say It gets bad it coagulates and clots and starts to not look good.
It turns into nasty jello It's it's gelatinous. It is disgusting. It is awful And so the movie portrays the stuff is liquid. No, it would be a great big blood jello cube And I told them alcohol in it.
What if you watered it down? Mmm, I think it's still clots. It's still gonna clot. Yeah, what about some water paint thinner I've you know, I think it would be a compatible because one's a water-based fluid that ones a fuel-based fluid We're just separate.
What about vodka? I don't know. Let's try it. I know that there are there are Embalming flutes that drink Are we putting it in the pig's blood?
Yes, there are embalming fluids that'll help break up clots But I mean that's that's not here nor there. I'm pretty sure that it's a lot of ring of pig. I'm sure they're not gonna pour some Some of my balls like all right a clot off Why did you guys spend 20 minutes talking about pigs blood because we have nothing to talk about really care Oh, sir. It's a disk get over it.
Yeah, so anyway, it's a very good problem. Mr. Tomy the hair-coid king he ends up taking care of prom. They're actually having a really good time like lurch said She's coming out of her shell.
She's having a great time She's like really introverted but everyone's cheering her on and saying how beautiful she looks and complimenting her on her dress What she made herself and she basically had to turn her off off She was showing off her dirty pillows Bismisses called breasts mom. They're called breasts. Everybody including Tim Hashem. Yes.
We all have breasts Less larger than others and I think that was the most tragic part of her goes She was having a good time was she was a good man cuz I'm a lump in mine. She she yes, that's actually very bad called cancer Tim Yeah, when she got a little makeup on since he's basic was actually a fairly attractive She's not someone that I would find myself attracted to but she cleaned herself up nice when she had a nice dress and put on little makeup and Movie magic come to her and it's interesting cuz she was obviously nervous, but Tommy is actually treating her very nice Yeah, I'm not sure Tommy's real girlfriend. I think about the time he was kissing Carrie after a whole point He was just being nice. That's just a courtesy.
That's really nice. That's a courtesy make out That's a friendly kiss. Richard Dawson man. Come on.
You remember the old like 1970s Richard Dawson is like everyone making out. No, please. No, please. No, please.
No, please. No, we even have a photo to prove it. Yes Yeah, it was okay. It was okay.
It was socially acceptable in the 70s Just kiss everyone because it was the time of free though apparently so in Europe men still kiss each other on the lips There's a reason I'm not in Europe. That's because I'm for to go there They they have a I would he called a pole not a pole but a Ballaker for the king and queen the prom king and queen meanwhile one of the bad guys have requested earlier in the film to be the one In charge of the secret ballots and do the old slice of the berry That was not the switch of the ballots favorite part of the whole entire stack of like a hundred papers that they just drop on the floor She slides it off at the back of her foot while she goes into kissing him and then he pulls out a stack of papers from inside of his coat Well, no, I think my favorite part though is when the guy requests to pick up the ballots. Hey, can I be on the prom committee? Yeah, why could he use your help here?
She went her decorating. Why can't I want to be the ballot guy? Yeah, okay. We'll have you be the bell guy.
Can you be here at 639? I'll be here at 8. Okay, okay So That was the best part of home of my opinion All right, and so You're getting in stereo So anyway at that point they get voted in as king and queen because they dropped a hundred ballots and hastily Ask who to them six inches away with her foot and they voted for themselves and you know, I wonder Would carry really have a lot of food use the same ballots. She might have no she might have one There's plenty of those teenage movies where they try to fix the results and they never win No, she could have won she seriously could have won without them fixing the ballots I don't know maybe you'll never know but I say but it's kind of tragic at this point Stephen King knows right?
You mccollum on us against right I'll get right on that so they go up on stage and Her date this pummie is actually being very happy and gracious and carries happy because she's accepted Nervous turn around and then the longest slow motion scene in the history of cinema Clearly never seen any of his movies There's awkward 15 minute clapping scene for the king queen in this movie My baby's only good film is 13 hours everything else sucks All right, I'm not a fan of transforms the first one was decent But everything else after that no, especially the last one before the last night went straight to Netflix Sorry, I don't need to criticize it. I can appreciate it. You're a fan. Yes, but yeah personally there they're a hot steaming pile Basic like your mom My mom involved no mama.
Okay. So anyway during this whole clapping scene the girl who arranged after boyfriend S carry to the prom shows up because she wants to see it and realizes that there's a bucket of pigs blood hanging over the Jam and she tries to put a stop to it Meanwhile the the teacher the Jim teacher thinks that she's about to pull the prank or about to do something and pulls her away And then you got John Travolt and his girlfriend underneath the other stage And they're actually the ones that have the end of the cable and that's a very iconic scene where the blood drops And you've got sissy space that standing up on stage underneath these red floodlights and her eyes are wide and she's just looking Around crazy eyes crazy eyes. She's just a moment of shock. Yeah, you hear a mom's voice And then like the Jim teachers voice saying you can trust us but she like even though there's people there that were actually like concerned I'm trying to help her all she saw was everyone laughing at her.
So this is when her like Yeah, a ton of vision but she her telekinesis powers like kick in and she can actually control him at this point and she just shuts that shit down And she goes full psycho mode she shuts the she locks the doors trapped everybody inside the gym electrocutes the principal in the English teacher People with fire hose which in turn electrifies the microphone which she shoots though the hose at the She kills my thing which starts building on fire the English teacher and principal die from electrocuted She's a Jim teacher in half with a giant sign. Yep Yeah, I still think the best scene in this movie though is when she's walking home covered in blood and John Tivolta and the girl are driving down the street and they see carrying and carries backs to them And they're driving like full speed and the girls just like you know what I'm gonna murder Yeah, hey what an murder so she's like floors are trying to run over carrying Carrie just turns real quick and stares in for a half a second And flips the car over makes a whole bunch of times and then she lights on a fire blows it up Splodes Very Michael Bay moment at which point Carrie goes home and starts to clean up and mom psycho Bible banging crazy mom Who's decided that the witch must die and tells Carrie and Carrie? Yeah, and so she tells Carrie about how her conception her conception tries to get her hug and then the flesh She's the stabber with a butcher knife at which point Carrie goes full nuclear I'm sorry full what nuclear nuclear nuclear Yeah, nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear nuclear And ends up basically killing mom with a whole bunch of kitchen knives and then imploding the house on her mom and herself So there's kind of a movie in that shell and again This isn't really a paranormal movie per se other than it does tie into the poltergeist thing whether it is Stressful teenage angst causing telekinesis versus no a full-on demonic type haunting yes, um The similarity in these movies is the house is both imploded Make the house disappear everyone dies. That's the best part about it.
I was watching a glorious for the one girl Yeah, I was watching a glorious bathroom to the other night and it's like that was so underrated when it came out and rewatching it again It's a great story and everyone dies and that's the best part about is that all the good people die at the end You know and essentially because like with poltergeist we kind of went through and talked about what are you doing? Don't worry about it Okay, we talked about poltergeist we kind of talked about something activity and compared it to relativity versus not real activity I don't know how to compare this to relax if it's not really I know and that's the hard part The whole time we're watching this movie the whole time we're watching this movie in front of me I tied this in to our experiences and I really can't I've never witnessed telekinesis I I can't say it's I mean I'm sure there's gifted people out there that can probably do stuff like that But I again it just yeah, we call it a fitness Impleasable you know I will say though in reality if Dan's poltergeist theory and by Dan's I mean there's a large segment of the paranormal community who do believe in that A psycho kinesis telekinesis thing. I don't think they would be able to control it like Carrie does I think it's uh Subconsciousness stuff that goes on around them. It's not something where you can fling kitchen ice across the kitchen at mom It's be very subconscious basically So that was basically Carrie anybody anything they want to throw in there are two cents in the movie sides all the slapping that gentle Vulte did his girlfriend.
I think it's a great movie. I think it's class and simulated teleport At the very end of it where the brunette of the really I don't know. That's the hot haired guy I guess whatever you want to call him The girl who won her boyfriend out the carol Tommy's girlfriend Tommy's girlfriend decides to go in her dream apparently or ask her projection or I don't know But she goes to Carrie's home. That's all covered in rubble and has a lava rocks in the front yard Where the house used to be a white picket cross that says Carrie Burns and how and it's already Frits out who wrote Carrie Burns and how because everybody died in the jam food.
Hey, Carrie There were some survivors and as she puts her flowers down on the grave Carrie like Hunches her hand out through the rubble and grabs onto her and then she wakes up out of her dream or her astro projection and she's all freaking out psychosis She's having the psychosis moment, but no she's old enough or young enough that she will forget about it Yeah, she'll That was kind of hilarious because mom is on the phone going on. She shouldn't have to forget about it. She's three She's 18 years old. I don't think she's gonna forget.
It's not actually the two-year-old who you traumatized So anyway, that was Carrie. This may end up being a rather short episode I don't know what else we've got to talk about on this one. You know, we were gonna jump into a little bit about the curse of poltergeist Let's jump into that. So I know one of the things That was rumored to have happened when they were filming the movie was that the skeletons in the swimming pool scene Were not Props there were actual skeletons the human remains that they use and I don't know if brandy can confirm or deny that I don't know if she could tell the difference watching a movie if they're really not We're looking at you.
I don't know if just could skeletons put off any type of energy or is it Well, how do you think I know what remains are? Do they prep visible energy that you can see on the TV? No, okay Fraud Where the curse supposedly starts with is that they use actual human remains for that scene and the spirits that were or the actual Owners of those bones were basically pissed off and started causing problems for the movie One of the things that happened was that I read about was during the filming of the scene where the little clown doll attacks the sun Um It didn't go as planned and the doll was actually choking the kid and no one knew they thought it was just part of the film It wasn't until the director realized that hey, he's actually choking that he had to shut the scene down and go and help him And that has happened. I know that happened to the butterscotch panda Uh several years ago when we investigated the old science building.
I don't know if you remember that or not He was yes, so he was my mark is not building. Yes, so that we should play the audio on that sometime. Do you have it? Um, I don't but I can get it.
Yeah, you know what's interesting and going back to your thing with the skeletons whether they're real or not Tim I was thinking as I was watching that scene and lurch being A funeral director at one time. Um those skeletons were kind of fleshy I don't know if you guys noticed that in the movie and I have a hard time thinking that they put live actors in water with partially fleshy real skeletons And they're not being some serious biohazard issues there So and I don't know maybe if they did use real bones they took real clean bones. I mean, there's there's not like there's not like a human remains skeleton store, you know, I mean if you're if you're getting something like that It's uh someone that's been willing to donate their body to science and having that remains having their remains show up on a uh A film set is very unlikely because usually when when someone has done either body to science and they're used for Labs for research and uh, the the the remains are pretty well picked apart and then at the end they they actually have a Cremation, you know, I but at the same time this has been in the early 80s and they may not have had the same Respect kind of like Tom or john trombalda slappin how it was girlfriend and carry they may have been a little Free and loose in their uh, and how respectful they work compared to how things are nowadays But again, my concern with that and I think him is researching right now You know, he may have an answer for us, but I just thought those kind of partially fleshy skeletons in the soaking in the water with real actors I thought there's not a biohazard petri dish going on right there at all So that would make me lean towards the fact that those were not real skeletons You find anything on that Tim? uh, according to an interview with one of the actors of the movie Uh, they they say that they were they assume they were prop skeletons But they found out as the crew that they were using real skeletons because as far as it should make big skeletons out of rubber So according to the actors, uh, yes They were real skeletons.
I've also researched on snopes snopes as they're not so it depends on what you want to believe that the Apparently interview with the actor were snopes who well, there's no spirit in jake So there is no spirit energy. So I mean it's possible that they were actual props I do know you know brandy to tell us on our last episode that there were actual spirits in the movie So do you remember exactly how many were in the movie? I mean two or two hundred so were they all type ones any type of types of these? All type all type ones.
Okay. Um, so one of the other things with the poltergeist curse is shortly after actually I think I might have been After the movie was released About four months later the actress that played the oldest daughter was actually strangled to death by her ex-boyfriend She came home. He was waiting for her one to get back together. She said no and so he killed her So he he's on the movie.
I thought she's been cheating on me If you've ever seen the uh, I think it's the toylight zone movie There's one that actually has the girl that played carolan and uh, it's uh, it's one of the stories in the movie where the sky is uh, I think he's racist and he goes to a bar and he has a really weird night where he starts Almost like time traveling, but he's in nazi germany as a jew and then he's in vietnam as a Vietnamese person And he's trying to uh, disalvage his life and find his own salvation And there's a scene where he's rescuing a girl from a helicopter that's crashing It's the actress that played the carolan and the helicopter actually tipped sideways and the blades on the top Fell into the water and killed both both him and carolan Instantaneously on the uh, on the side of the film. So she died that way while filming another movie The girl Heather or work, uh, the little blonde hair girl that she died of an intestinal disease that she had yeah, uh, helicopter intestinal disease That's how you keep there kind of the same. No, she didn't die in a carolan. Oh, I crashed No, it was it was on a film set.
I remember hearing something about that make me look at that. It's not a shot. Okay. Um If you let me go through this what I have in front of me So get a sworn I don't know if I actually died on the film set.
No, I mean somebody might have died I'm not saying that's really cool. I'm from the poltergeist movie, but yeah, Heather or work died of a some kind of rare disease that she had that Basically kept her from doing something. I'm sure it's in here. So the next thing that pops up on this is something like a living Uh, okay, I'm sorry Her bowels or something like that.
So the next thing on here is uh, the set of poltergeist two Was actually they had the this is when they had the two good spirits the one the old guy that played uh, cane And then the native american shaman. He was uh, I guess an actual shaman and he was concerned about the fact that they used real skeletons in the first movie so in the second movie when he was filming showed up on a set late at night and performed an exorcism and according to the Him the cast was supposedly felt all relieved the next day like everything was just like the energy was lighter after he performed the Exorcist I gotta say for poltergeist two actually like poltergeist two but are not the first poltergeist So the next part is creepy as hell so nice part is actually involving the character the actor with like cane He died at the age of 60 of stomach cancer I think he actually had a way they're filming if I remember right this way looks like gross and stable was diagnosed before the he accepted the Roland passed away in 1985 um, the next one It was heather or work the old untimely passing of poltergeist iconic gun stars perhaps the most convincing case for a curse heather or work AK a caroland who set the famous line there here Was incredibly young and when she died of cardiac arrest and septic shock caused by a mixed diagnosed intestinal issue She died in February of 1988 at 12 years old several months before the release of poltergeist three the final chapter in the original series Yeah, and it was Victor morrow and I don't know what the connection was between him and the girl from poltergeist But I remember there's something there But anyways, yeah, Vic morrow died in the filming of the twilight some movie with two other girls. I think they're Asian descent, but I have no idea how There was there was a cast member here. It says Richard Lawson was a USA air flight 405 when it crashed in 1992 Total 27 of the 51 people were killed he survived um in 2009 there was another cast member that was brutally murdered and That's all this was just about it.
But there was just I mean I remember there being a e Hollywood special On the curse of poltergeist and they they went in a great detail about it and unfortunately like I searched all of them And trying to find this and couldn't yeah, we're gonna watch the documentary, but we couldn't locate it But yeah, I mean there I remember them talking about stuff of just like random things happening on the set while they were filming And I'm sure there's more stuff about it like if you if you youtube it or google it There is so many websites with just different stuff about the the curse of the poltergeist I mean there was there's a lot of stuff that went on along with that movie and it seems like most of them kind of agree that The reason why the activity and stuff started happening was because of them using actual skeletons Whether or not that's true. I don't know but that's that's kind of the theory behind the curse is it's the pissed off spirits were Kind of seeking the revenge and I would even venture just from what we've experienced that when they're filming a movie based on that kind of thing It'd be very easy for them to invite something in and if they weren't prepared for it didn't know what to do It'd be really easy to get yourself in trouble You know challenging spirits things of that nature inadvertently that could also bring that kind of thing on so Unfortunately all those people had to deal with that and passed away have been tested all on helicopter accidents Um You know there was something I remember growing up and hearing some sort of story that connected The girl that played caroland to the death and the the twilight zone movie and I can't what it was but I I was I was positive There's something some sort of link between the two so I don't know if i'm crazy I don't know if I just got like stories mixed up, but I could have sworn there's some sort of link so I thought there was there was some debate or one of the references I would read on the the family of Heather Orr work was saying that all of her scenes were shot before poltergeist There was released there apparently the director says that it was otherwise they had used a body double to finish her scenes because she passed away before the movie Before all of her scenes were filmed and whatnot so I mean there's just all sorts of things that Kind of supposedly happened during the filming of these three movies You know essentially I've seen all three movies and the first one was good I thought in my opinion the second one was the best and the third one was kind of crap I didn't really care for the third one was the third one when they were in the hotel Yeah, okay. Yeah, that was uh, no I I'd have to go the second one is the best if you do want to watch any of the poltergeist movies Watch the second one. I do like the storyline with kane and camera the shaman's name, but yeah, that one was fantastic I thought um so in our next episode Uh, well we have fear factory coming up this next weekend and so we will be talking about that investigation Um, which tim and brand you're both gonna miss out on although you're certainly you're certainly invited to come ready Thank you.
We'll be here for the podcast though And tim unfortunately his place of employment has decided that him should come to the factory either Yes in order to get the fourth of july off i'm forced to work two saturday's in a row Which sounds like a fantastic trade. I know like hey to get one day off you have to work two force over ten days One week day off you have to get up two weekends. Yes. Um, yeah, that sounds like a hell He wants to go to a crazy awful place like a fair factory me.
Um, yes So we'll be talking about that and some people on our team that wanted to go there Timmy mentioned we got a guest next time who we got coming on again. Well, it should be lara and Special K that's right karma and Tim connie's Tim connie's and so we'll have them on and then other than that What else we got coming up anything? Well if we can actually get them to respond Um, we're still trying to confirm with camian and cam from saturday 49 if they confirm with us They will be the episode after the fear factory episode and then the episode after that should be Uh jimmylin darling and we're actually gonna be recording that one. We've got this one confirmed Recording with jimmy at the family she restaurant now.
She is the one with the uh, poupo the killer clown Yes, yes and because of her cursed objects that she likes to carry around we'll be recording a family tree Yeah, that's probably something to go with christall nay. All right. I don't know how to curse objects in my home We have nothing against jimmy. It's just not just not gonna invite cursed object.
It doesn't seem wise for me to bring that into a home I mean it's it's always fun to go to a haunted location and it's Super close to all of us that uh we can go down there and you know, the owners are really cool with us and enjoy some scones Yes, come down. We'll have some scones and interview jimmy the darling. So anyway, who wants it? Well, hey, that's it for this episode and we will catch you guys again in two weeks So have a good night jane you ignorant slut peace out butterflies.
No You're listening to the wisps wasatch investigative studies for paranormal science They're grown as adults that like to sit in the dark and talk to each other, but they all love their moms So that should account for something
