There was a Gibraltar-wide power outage yesterday. Some areas were without electricity for over five and a half hours, with Catalan Bay and the Upper Town having power restored just before 10pm. Calpe Electrical has taken responsibility for the power cut; they were undertaking works for the installation of reserve battery power systems. We spoke to Michael Caetano, CEO of GibElec. And, three days of hearings have started this morning as part of the public inquiry into the early retirement of former police commissioner Ian McGrail.
