Power Evangelism
from The awestarmissions's Podcast Hosted by awestarmissions
Today will be a unique episode. We will be discussing the subject of "Power Evangelism" and if this Evangelism is still happening today. "Power Evangelism" was coined by John Wimber. "According to Wimber, ‘power evangelism’ is evangelism which “comes with a demonstration of God’s power through signs and wonders,” and “is preceded and undergirded by demonstrations of God’s presence, and frequently results in groups of people being saved.” (Power Evangelism: Revised Version, John Wimber and Kevin Springer, HarperCollins, 1992, p.78.) I have with me Amy Strom and Denise Wakefield from Redding California. Both ladies are a part of the Supernatural school of ministry at Bethel church.
