Power Psoas: An Interview with Deric Stockton
Elite power lifter, Deric Stockton, returns (see original Podcast 2009) to discuss his strategies for developing true poswer and the dynamic approach he used to become a Strength Athlete capable of squat lifting over 804 pounds, (198lb/41). Stockton utilizes a supple, dynamic psoas and neurological proprioception as the vital means for developing not only strength and power, but also a healthy, resilient core. As a young athlete, marine, and bodybuilder Deric turned to functional power lifting to become a healthy strength coach and judge. He is the author of a 3-part series Rehab & Prehab: An Active Recovery Program published in Powerlifting USA Magazine (May–July 2010).
