Powerful Words

Pastor Chris Meads teaches from the Book of Proverbs on the immense power of human speech. He highlights how all of our words either lead towards life or towards death - there is no neutrality. The key issue is the condition of the human heart, as speech simply flows out of what is inside. Angry, deceptive, and self-exalting words produce death, while gracious, truthful, and wise speech gives life. The model is Christ himself, whose words always glorified God. Chris urges the church to allow Christ to transform their hearts from the inside out so that life-giving speech becomes the norm flowing from renewed, God-submitted hearts.
