"The industry needs a platform that is secure, ie encrypted, and then highly curated."

"Not everybody can be on Symphony, it's a walled garden but ultimately inside that walled garden people decide who they communicate with. So it's very open inside, but it's encrypted."

"Symphony is an enabler of remote work."

"I started with no computers really in an industry and I ended up with a Pentium chip in 1995 that was super-fast, and I just stayed with that."

"Electronic trading in 95 didn't exist, so it was a very physical job, you sat on trading floors, people smoked cigarettes, literally, on trading floors in the 80s and 90s. That really started to fade. Trading floors used to be raucous, and then it started to get more online and fifteen years later in 2010 you go to a trading floor, there's a lot of people but it really is quiet."

"There's a lot more trading and risk activity happening now, it's just more dispersed and diffused."

"I've seen that thirty year arc and it's just been fascinating."

"To build thing you need capital. Usually you need funding to do anything. Then you need some form of physical energy. I think of finance, tech and energy as these base areas, and then base industries that all other industries need to deal with."

Bitcoin via Wikipedia

"A bitcoin is code, compute, and cooling. Literally. Write code, run the computer and then cool it. That's why Quebec is big, because it's got a lot of hydro-power and water."

The Grand Inquisitor (dramatic reading) Fyodor Dostoyevsky The Grand Inquisitor is a parable told by Ivan to Alyosha in Fyodor Dostoevsky's novel The Brothers Karamazov (1879–1880). Ivan and Alyosha are brothers; Ivan questions the possibility of a personal, benevolent God and Alyosha is a novice monk. The Grand Inquisitor is an important part of the novel and one of the best-known passages in modern literature because of its ideas about human nature and freedom, and because of its fundamental ambiguity. In the tale, Christ comes back to earth in Seville at the time of the Inquisition. He performs a number of miracles (echoing miracles from the Gospels). The people recognize him and adore him, but he is arrested by Inquisition leaders and sentenced to be burnt to death the next day. The Grand Inquisitor visits him in his cell to tell him that the Church no longer needs him. The main portion of the text is the Inquisitor explaining to Jesus why his return would interfere with the mission of the church. (Summary by Wikipedia)Ca Tales From the Citadel Miguel Angel Perez Garcia As Rick and Morty prepare to go to Atlantis, they're interrupted by a Rick and Morty pair looking for donations to the Citadel Redevelopment fund. Our Rick and Morty refute the possibility of donation with hostility, pointing out that our Rick was the one to destroy it in the first place, and the pair leave. True fulfilment and happiness depends on knowing who we are, and knowing the Lord, our Creator. Don’t let yourself be swept away, programmed and ruled by the shallow things of materialism and hedonism. We need Him and one day we must give account to Him. We’ve presented a collection of material here to help you. Do investigate the facts of the Christian faith, and the possibility of walking with God.
