Practical Magic 2 Is Officially Happening | Durham News

Practical Magic 2 is officially coming, with Nicole Kidman and Sandra Bullock reprising their iconic roles as the chaotic Owens sisters—Sally and Gilly. Twenty-eight years after the original’s cult-favorite debut, fans are buzzing about this long-awaited sequel, which promises more witchy chaos, sibling drama, and that unforgettable late-90s vibe. While critics weren’t kind to the first film, its enduring charm lies in the sisters’ chemistry and the hilarious supporting cast—including their meddling aunts. Set for a mid-December to January 2027 release on HBO Max, the sequel will drop just in time to keep the magic alive through winter. Catch the original on HBO, Hulu, Prime Video (with Max bundle), or rent it digitally before the new magic arrives.
