Practical Preservation Podcast featuring Laura Crook of Doctors House Museum

from Practical Preservation · host Keperling Preservation Services - Jonathan and Danielle Keperling

Laura Crook of the Doctors House Museum joined the Practical Preservation Podcast to discuss the saving of the Doctors house from demolition, the restoration, and the museum (along with paranormal investigation spoilers).Laura Crook served on the Board of Directors from 2015 - 2019 and has participated as Chair of the Membership & Outreach Committee, which set a goal of 1000 TGHS members, a goal we have since surpassed. She also conceived and organizes the popular “Raising the Bar” mixers. If you need someone to chat about the Victorian Era or Batchelder tile over a cocktail or two, she is your gal. Laura, her husband Jon, and daughter Margot reside in a 1926 English Revival within the El Miradero neighborhood of Glendale. In 2017 Laura assumed the role of Doctors House Director with much gratitude and enthusiasm and continues to serve in this role today. Laura is also the recipient of the 2020 Outstanding Service award.Contact information:websitelink to Doctors House documentary link to Past Virtual Events (including the paranormal investigation)
