Practice Makes Perfect: Cool Down | Faith in Five

from Faith in Five · host Mark VanDellen

When scheduling our physical training workouts we often skip the rest day and the cool down.  We account for the 30 minutes of cardio, but not the 5 min of cool down.  When we are trying to get in shape we would like to think that we can hit it hard 7 days per week and accelerate our progress, but our bodies don’t work that way.  The unique thing is our brains, our bodies, our souls are all wired similarly...we need to intentionally engage them to keep them in shape, but we also need to rest or cool down so we can recover and be at our best when we engage.
