Practicing Accountability Means Demanding That All Politicians Meet a Standard of Integrity

Hey Everyone!Nick and I had another wonderful talk with an emphasis on accountability. It’s really concerning how little integrity actually plays a role in our political mechanism. There is no question of accountability for openly lawless Republicans, and the only time Democrats seem willing to invoke the concept of accountability is when a progressive starts to gather up political momentum.More and more I’m recognizing that there is a veil of deceit that prevents us from perceiving the true puppet masters who control our corrupt system. I remain disappointed with comments made by Democratic consultant James Carville. We can’t brush problematic comments like his under the rug. You aren’t building a “big tent” if you routinely make it clear that many good, hardworking, qualified people aren’t welcome.It’s bizarre that I have to write that, but here we are.We’re at a pivot point in American history. Everyone can sense that the regime is weak, and there are multiple forces gathering to slip into the power vacuum when the current guy finally fails. Corruption is as vast as the sea, and I’m sick of getting pummeled by the waves.We can’t sit here and listen to the liars who say we’re being “unreasonable” if we ask for too much. We have to find our fortitude and demand INTEGRITY.DEMAND IT!MODEL IT!Nick and I will continue to do so.
