Practicing Edification

“to equip his people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.” Ephesians 4:12-13 NIV It is God’s desire that we be built up. This is the goal of edification. Many times buildings collapse or wear out as a result of a poor foundation or weak materials. Our Christian faith and spiritual progress are also like buildings, there is a foundation that must be built and spiritual blocks that we must use in our walk with God in order for us to have a strong structure.
