Praise Is More Than Just Singing “Praise the Lord, for the Lord is good; sing praises to His name, for it is pleasant.” — Psalm 135:3 Many people think that praising God is just singing beautiful songs in church. But praise is much deeper than that. Praise is recognizing with your heart that God is good, even when things aren’t going well. It’s thanking Him even when the answers haven’t come yet. It’s worshiping Him, even without music, even in silence. Praise is living in a way that God’s name is lifted up through our actions. It’s when you say “no” to what displeases God and “yes” to what honors His name. It’s when you help someone without expecting anything in return because you understand that God has already given you everything. It’s when you go through a hard time but still trust and say, “Lord, I praise You because You are good.” Have you ever stopped to think if you’ve praised God today with more than just your voice? How is the fragrance of your praise? Is it rising pure before God? Prayer: “Lord, I want to praise You with more than just my words. May my life, my choices, and the way I love others reflect how good You are. Teach me to praise You at all times — in joy and in pain — because You deserve all my praise. Amen.” Challenge for today: Choose one action today that represents praise to God — maybe forgiving someone, being kind to someone who doesn’t deserve it, or simply thanking Him for something small. Remember, praise is a lifestyle!
