Praising God for His Favor | Then Sings My Soul (Part 1 of 4)

The story about Jesus’ birth into this world is filled with music. Each of the songs in scripture reveal something about God and His work in this world, but it also reveals something about the person singing it. We kick the series off by looking at Mary’s song. It has been called The Magnificat. Magnificat is a Latin word that means “to praise,” “to glorify,” or “to magnify.” This song reveals a great deal about Mary’s soul, a soul that was willing to obey God and fully participate in His will and ways.
