Pray for true Conversion by Kai-Anne Clews
from Original Christian Poetry · host Kai-Anne Clews
The saddest sight I ever saw, Was one who was once a Christian, Called one no more. The fallen away, Lead others astray, With the same snare that tripped them up That fateful day… I know, My onboard compass Is not enough, To keep me on guard against sin – I know if I go my own way, The Devil right there, Scored a win… In all the magnetic desires, I pass by, My compass is not always true North, And I, Should set my sights, On my North star up high, To help me steer my course. To guide me steadily, To guide me true – In a world full of falsehood That screams the falsehood is You. I pray for these lost ones, And wonder if ever, They glimpsed your true splendor – Or in truth, Where Christians never? How then, can one loose What then, was not possessed? I pray for true conversion, to comfort their unrest. I pray they may be unburdened, From the snare And from this test. Our Lord was tested, And so are we. Pray for those, Who like St. Peter, flee.
