Pray for your enemies

In this powerful and spiritually transformative episode of Salt Not Sweetener, Danielle Townsend takes listeners deep into one of Jesus’ most challenging and counter-cultural teachings: pray for those who persecute you. With reverence and heartfelt honesty, Danielle unpacks what it truly means to love like Christ—especially toward those who hurt, oppose, or misunderstand us. Drawing directly from Scripture and personal testimony, this episode explores how prayer becomes a conduit of grace—not only for others, but for our own hearts. Danielle guides listeners through the spiritual realities behind offense and retaliation, showing how the enemy uses bitterness and resentment to steal joy, fracture relationships, and widen the gap between us and God. As she shares both conviction and encouragement, you’ll be invited to let go of woundedness and embrace a higher way of responding—one marked by humility, forgiveness, and intercession. This episode isn’t just a lesson—it’s a call to live out the radical love Jesus modeled. Pray for Your Enemies will challenge you, strengthen your spirit, and deepen your understanding of what it means to walk in Christ-like love in a broken world.
