Prayer Against Adultery

Prayer against adultery Gracious and holy God I come before You today acknowledging Your holiness and the sacredness of the covenant of marriage You created love intimacy and faithfulness gifts that reflect Your own nature Yet in my weakness I recognize the pull of temptation and the lies of the enemy Lord protect my heart from the sin of adultery whether in thought in desire in fantasy or in action Cleanse me of anything that does not honor You or my commitment Let me not be deceived by temporary pleasure that leads to deep pain and destruction You said in Hebrews 13:4 "Marriage should be honored by all and the marriage bed kept pure for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral." So today I choose to honor my spouse my body and You Strengthen me in moments of weakness Give me wisdom to set boundaries that guard my heart and mind Help me flee from situations conversations or connections that could lead me astray Expose any area of compromise in my life and shine Your truth on it If I have sinned Lord I repent with a broken and contrite heart Restore me cleanse me heal my marriage and renew our trust If I am being tempted make the way of escape clear and give me the courage to take it If my spouse has sinned help me walk through the pain with Your strength truth and grace I declare that I belong to You and my body my heart and my love are Yours first then faithfully given to my spouse I refuse to let the enemy destroy what You have joined together Thank you Father for Your mercy for Your guidance and for the power to walk in purity In Jesus' name amen
