Prayer Against Envy

Prayer against envy Gracious and loving Father I come before You with an open heart asking You to cleanse me from every trace of envy Your word teaches me in James 3:16 that where envy and self-seeking exist confusion and every evil thing are there Lord I do not want to entertain anything that opens the door to the enemy in my life Forgive me for the times I have compared myself to others desired what is not mine or resented someone else's blessing You commanded in Exodus 20:17 "You shall not covet." Lord help me walk in obedience trusting that You are my portion and my provider Create in me a clean heart O God and renew a right spirit within me Psalm 51:10 Remove every root of jealousy and replace it with love joy and contentment Let the fruit of the Spirit especially love and peace rule in my heart Galatians 5:22-23 Help me to rejoice with those who rejoice Romans 12:15 and celebrate the victories of others without bitterness or insecurity Your word reminds me in Proverbs 14:30 that "A heart at peace gives life to the body but envy rots the bones." Lord I choose peace Heal my heart and fill me with Your life-giving spirit Teach me to fix my eyes not on others but on Jesus the author and finisher of my faith Hebrews 12:2 Help me to stay faithful with what You've placed in my hands and to trust in Your perfect timing for my life Let me walk in humility not seeking what others have but trusting that no good thing will You withhold from those who walk uprightly Psalm 84:11 You are enough for me Lord Thank you for freeing me from envy and clothing me with righteousness joy and contentment I praise You for who You are and for all You've done in my life and in the lives of those around me In Jesus' name I pray Amen
