Prayer for Cleansing

Prayer for cleansing Holy and merciful Father I come before You with a heart that longs to be made clean Your word declares in first John 1:9 "If we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." Lord I confess every sin known and unknown and I ask for Your forgiveness and cleansing Like David I pray from Psalm 51:2 "Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin." Purge my heart oh God and strip away every impurity every unclean thought motive and desire Your word says in Ezekiel 36:25-26 "I will sprinkle clean water on you and you shall be clean I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you." Lord I receive that promise Give me a heart that delights in purity and walks in obedience Create in me a clean heart oh God and renew a right spirit within me Psalm 51:10 Do not cast me from Your presence and do not take Your Holy Spirit from me Cleanse my mind with the washing of the water of the word Ephesians 5:26 Let my thoughts be fixed on what is true noble just pure lovely and praiseworthy Philippians 4:8 Sanctify my body soul and spirit and set me apart for Your purpose Lord Jesus You said in John 15:3 "You are already clean because of the word I have spoken to you." Let Your word continue to cleanse and refine me daily Let nothing unholy or unworthy take root in my heart Help me to walk in the light as You are in the light so that I may have fellowship with You and with others and be continually cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ Your son first John 1:7 Thank You Lord that in You I am made new Your mercies are new every morning and Your faithfulness is great Lamentations 3:22-23 ......... I receive Your cleansing and I choose to walk forward in purity holiness and freedom In Jesus' name amen
