Prayer: Living in the Presence of God

Key Scripture: 1 Thessalonians 5:17   Paul continues with his instructions (I Thes. 5:12-22): • Respect your spiritual leaders • Live in peace • Warn the idle • Encourage the timid • Help the weak • Be patient with everyone • Be kind • Be joyful • Pray Continually • Give thanks • Don't quench the Spirit  - Believe the Word • Test everything • Hold on to the TRUTH • Avoid all evil Right in the middle of these instructions is the call to PRAY CONTINUALLY!   ...PRAYER is LIVING in the PRESENCE of God!   1. Prayer CONNECTS us into the POWER of God. 2. Prayer CAUSES Things to Happen! 3. Prayer OPENS our EYES to Watch God Work!
