Prayerful Dependance

1 Peter 4 | Yoshito Noguchi | 30/08/26Yoshi teaches from 1 Peter 4 about following Jesus amid suffering. He highlights three themes: 1discerning the time because “the end of all things is near,” staying clear-minded and Spirit-filled rather than spiritually asleep; experiencing God’s presence and power through prayer that seeks the King’s will in spiritual warfare. The sermon is full of illustrations from his Tokyo ministry where an ALS patient became a prayer warrior and people later came to faith, and by renewed congregational prayer impacting a formerly homebound student who returned to school saying Jesus was with her; and being rooted in deep, honoring love and committed relationships, emphasising that Jesus loves believers as they are because of the cross and that mission moves at the pace of love.
