Marriages can be raised from the dead because We have been raised from the dead. The Apostle Paul reveals the amazing truth that at the moment we placed our faith in Jesus, we were spiritually raised from the dead (Eph. 1:19-20). Having been raised with Christ, Paul then urges us to "put on" the virtues of Jesus (Col. 3:1-14). By faith we are to embrace and embody the Christlike qualities of compassion, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience - forgiving each other. As these qualities increasingly find expression in our lives our marriage relationship will experience the new life Jesus brings.
