The role of a parent for instilling wisdom into the heart of a child is vital. Proverbs 22:15 says, "Folly is bound up in the heart of a child, but the rod of discipline drives it far from him." Foolishness is already present in young lives. The role of a parent is to remove foolishness through loving discipline and instill wisdom.
