Our lives can be filled with confusion and disorder. We can experience unsettled turbulence in our marriage, our family and at work. Society is increasingly being torn apart by hostility and anger. What is needed in our hearts, homes and cities is peace. The source of the peace we need is God himself."For God is not a God of confusion but of peace" (1 For. 14:33). "For the kingdom of God is not a matter of eating and drinking but of righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit" (Rom. 14:17). "And he awoke and rebuked the wind and said to the sea, “Peace! Be still!” And the wind ceased, and there was a great calm" (Mark 4:39). "For to us a child is born, to us a son is given; and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name shall be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" (Isaiah 9:6).
