Praying for Suffering Widows [Luke 7:12-13]

Luke 7:11-13 And when He came near the gate of the city, behold, a dead man was being carried out, the only son of his mother; and she was a widow. And a large crowd from the city was with her. When the Lord saw her, He had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” The agony of this widow was so excruciating that her weeping and affliction attracted a large crowd sympathizers from her city. When Jesus saw her, He couldn't turn the other way. He had compassion on her and raised to life her only son which was hope and source joy. There are so many widows in our today who are faced with much agony than this. Let's pray that God will visit and restore their hope. O Lord compassionate Lord and God, merciful and kindhearted Father. We request for a divine visitation for every widow whose hope and source of life has been shattered. In Jesus name. Amen.
